The chest touch was to get some extra control, not sure it had been a good idea to take it on volley there.

Either way I don't think it's unreasonable to expect him to score there, I'm just saying it wasn't that easy. Auba was the one playing the ball to Pepe in the first place too, and if Pepe had made a deep run right away instead of looking to receive the ball he would probably have gotten to it before Adrian.

That's a problem, he should know these days (with VAR) that linesmen won't be raising the flag. Play until the whistle!

To me there were so many touches and moments throughout the game he just lack that little bit of sharpness to be quicker than the Liverpool players.

Beast man. We need to play up to his level and help him get the recognition he deserves. He doesn’t receive plaudits because journalists covering Premier League are dense. They tend to focus all their recognition on the teams seemingly competing for the title (which often includes Spurs because same journalists can’t extrapolate Points totals).

Not even Premier League journalists, he outscored 13 out of the 15 players nominated for the best forward in the world (the other two being Messi and Mbappe). Poor Auba doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Not that I want to big him up but Harry Kane has played in big World Cup and cl matches hence why his profile may be better known. Not to forget he has been in the public eye of the premier league a lot longer than auba as well.

Of course, the local favouritism is irritating to us as he plays for our main rival but as England's best player for several years, it's perfectly normal for the English media to be biassed towards him as they cater to the domestic audience first and foremost.

I, however, agree with everyone who has a problem with FIFA judging.

If anything I want this season to serve a nice bitter squeeze of Spurs pundits and fans watching their team's pedigree seep away before their eyes. Not a single ornament to show for it.
