Emery can make anyone look dogshit, so I wouldn't hold it against Suarez. He'll get a better chance in a properly functioning team next season elsewhere. In any case, glad we fought hard to not have a mandatory purchase clause. Really hope the Spanish clown duo running our club doesn't decide to buy him in the summer.

This guy's a dud - our transfer team did well to make it a loan with no obligation to buy. As far as I can tell he has no outstanding attributes and probably lacks the aggression to impose himself.

Can't fault him for not shining in whatever our style is supposed to be, but I thought the point of bringing in this specific player was that Emery knew exactly what to get out of him. Instead we've just thrown him on to plug gaps here and there on the field. You have to wonder why we made such an effort for him to come in January if there's no intended role for him.

I mean when we signed him Mkhi was injured, Iwobis form was patchy and we had Maitland Niles playing as a winger. We needed and still do need the depth and cover if nothing else. I don’t think he was brought in to solve our problems.

There’s still 3 months of the season. This guy barely played at Barca. I saw him in one Copa game, but he wasn’t starting league games. Maybe we see something useful from mid March. Still plenty of time to make a difference in the run in.

Agree Claudius, it's very early days he's hardly played football this season and he's not joined a team that is great free flowing form. We certainly have problems of quality within midfield so he should get chances and we'll see how he does with them.

Does Suarez’s absence provide any insight into the similr disappearances of Ozil early on this season? Is the gaffer particularly harsh on conditioning flair players before integrating them in his squad? Just a thought.

we only have like 10 games left. hes not going to play much. he turned out to be a nothing signing. thank god there was no obligation to buy
