It is some crap grabbed from a laptop with Hunter making claims about his father without evidence of his father being involved. Proper news outlets would have developed a real thread about the relevance to the campaign with evidence of Joe Biden’s corrupt practices. But there isn’t. There is only a wild allegation of corruption.

This is important. The way the right propaganda machine works is absurd, dangerous and disconcerting. When there are stories with actual substantive, well researched proof, people on the right ignore and discredit it. Take for example, Trump himself submitting evidence of malpractice in the impeachment scandal, his tax evasion, or the Access Hollywood tapes. It’s all quickly dismissed as fake news when there is solid credible evidence. However, the left propaganda networks like Breitbart, Fox and QAnon will take stories where there is nothing and create the illusion of massive corruption and impropriety and it suddenly becomes a massive scandal because of our natural inclination to distrust those in power. See pizza gate, the Hillary emails, Benghazi, the Biden laptop. Just stop it. Take the time to read the work of good journalists.

Can't speak for RC8 but I knew the Hunter Biden thing was just baseless slander put out by the equivalent of the Sun and therefore should be ignored. However banning it plays into the hands of the Republicans and the narrative of big tech/coastal elites/mass censorship etc etc. It was a trap.

Did you see Trump’s twitter yesterday? It was lie after lie about cheating and him unilaterally declaring victory. Sure enough, his supporters rushed the Detroit vote counting center because they suspected cheating. They were in the room interfering with the process. Had to be removed. And then they stayed outside the center, huddled at the door intimidating election workers.

This idea of unchecked free speech is garbage. Not even European governments protect free speech. If someone like Trump is making dangerous statements that activate anarchists, kidnappers and domestic terrorists, shut that shit down.

The thing t h at strikes me about the Hunter Biden stuff is how selective it was and the precedent it sets. The Internet been great for getting out stories thst would never gave seen the light of day in the traditional media without it. This is the start of them taking back control. Don't be surprised if you find out in 20 years people in silicon Valley have Neen acting like Harvey Weinstein and blocking discussion and stories about it.

Just found out that Trump has received the second highest number of votes of anyone in history - greater than Obama '08 - so you're probably right there.

Never watched a tucker carlson clip in my life, but one popped up on my YT feed for some reason so i clicked on it. The content and the comments underneath really felt like they were from an alternate reality. Even eerier was clicking on a video in the rabbit hole suggestions which was of alan jones, one of the most well known conservative talking heads in australia, echoing the exact same views on sky news as tucker. My parents are genuinely lovely people but they love alan jones and don't mind trump whenever politics comes up 'at the dinner table'. When i go visit them over the weekend you can be damn sure they'll also be parrotting things like 'well where did all these magical biden votes come from then?' 'Why did they stop counting when trump was winning?' Murdochs silos really do stay in lockstep with that echo chamber messaging targeted at boomers.

Just following the count in Georgia and seeing how Biden is turning out black voters in places like Atlanta. He, Stacey Abrams and Trump got that demographic excited for the vote this year. Winning the black vote so thoroughly should help push him over the edge in key states. Important to note - black voters are reliably democratic and in the primaries Bernie was never able to activate them as well as Biden because he often lumped black issues with broader socio-economic issues.
