Do you really not understand why there's a difference between saying that to a white man who has some ape like facial features and a black man (who doesn't even any)?
I understand it, I attended an american school and they taught me stuff like that when I was a teenager, but I have observed hundreds of people who were not taught it and don't seem to grasp or care much about it. They are not necessarily malicious, just ignorant. And yes, of course they do blend in with the ones who are actually malicious.
Personally (since you seem to be addressing me personally) I wouldn't call someone a monkey regardless of their ethnicity unless it's as a compliment. Feels uncalled for đ . I find that publicly trying to humiliate people based on their physical appearance and factors they cannot control is generally destructive and unwarranted.
Edit: and to clarify on that last comment, I think that this actress was a complete dick to share her stupid conversation, and I think she would still be a total dick even if Iwobi looked like Beckham and her friend said that.
