Don't think it is the same at all, I'd say what we are seeing is even worse. Other managers with worse players within a season have managed to instil their style onto a team, I'm not saying any of them had their teams playing the way they want but you could see what they were trying to achieve. I look at us and have no idea what that is even more. Bar the odd good performance here or there it has been dull and lifeless football. Against so called lesser teams we have been played off the park. Our only away win in the PL in recent memory and it felt like we had 10 men not Watford. Our unbeaten run earlier this season was the biggest fluke I've seen, we were fucking dire in some of those games we managed to win/draw.

We need a manager with a clear identity and clear vision of what he wants, I don't think Emery is that man. We've wasted years sticking by hopeless shit players like Mustafi & Xhaka, hope we don't do the same with the manager as well.

Emery is a specialist in adapting his team to take advantage of his opponents on the day. That means he may not have a distinct style which he will impose on a weekly basis but he requires adapting the team on a week by week basis to match the opponent.

Players have recently been saying they haven’t been able to follow Emery’s instructions, that says to me the players (and fans based on some of these comments) aren’t versatile to change their style to win the match on the day. It will be interesting to see if he can make enough changes this summer to get the right players in, if he is still here.

Agreed. I think the squad's a bit too flawed to really talk about it. At times there has been evidence of some things (eg pressing) improving under Emery. The overall setup has been more paranoid and defensive than Wengerball.

I'm extremely concerned about our collapsing form and resolve. Our results have gone utterly to shit in the past few weeks when even average performances would have seen us likely to reach our season targets.

To me the Europa League is now the acid test for Emery and his first season at Arsenal. If and only if we win that trophy, I think our achievement will have been acceptable. Regardless I'm now ambivalent about whether he stays or goes, but I wouldn't actively call for it until we had a good replacement in mind. With our recent form I just can't see us entering the summer with good morale, whereas this season I think we had a considerable bounce from Wenger's removal.

I personally believe he will be supported by the club for at least another season. We have very conservative leadership from KSE.

His style is having everyone on the team focus on running a half-marathon and hoping that Lacazette and/or Aubameyang happen to score on the one decent chance we happen to create for them. People don't want to come out and claim that this is his style because it's too negative to want to think about. So instead of addressing this directly, people couch their criticism with stuff like "He hasn't implemented any style". That's what that "style" thing is all about.

I've always thought the majority of fans saw this season as a write off but after the totts went through their traditional bottle job performances and ole crashed the bus after being given the role full-time, hope grew to the extent that we had 3rd place in our sights.
Unfortunately Emery outspurred spurs leading to this type backlash amongst many hardcore Gooners

As much as I've supported Emery, it's been a bottlejob of epic proportions. Up there with his 6-1 capitulation against Barcelona while with PSG.

Klopp was called a fraud by everyone including Liverpool fans up until about a year and a half ago when they were drawing the likes of West Brom and celebrating with the fans or blaming the wind for shit performances. Don't even start with Guardiola the bald fraud who got exposed by England with his tiki taka horseshit after one season even with the massive investment he had already back then.

Lets see them rack up 100 points and reach CL finals with Mignolet or Joe Hart in goal and the likes of Sagna, Clichy, Klavan or Lallana in front of them.

IMO the issues this calendar year all go back to the 3 season ending injuries, and the impacts resulting in the need to change our shape to one that does not suit Emery's style to exploit the flanks and create overloads.

If anything this should dispel any remaining ideas of how good this squad and players are.

Actual goals scored and conceded is worse too, not to mention the football on show. Like I said, we have absolutely no excuses not to make the top 4 with our remaining games and how our rivals performed. The fact we got only 1 point in our last 4 matches is bloody worrying and if we lose to Valencia on thursday we will seriously need to consider

I dont hate Klopp at all, I went to school with his son when he was still managing Mainz and he always came across very modest and polite. I'm just calling it as I see it, the majority of fans said he got found out and many Liverpool fans called for his head not that long ago.

Obviously not all Liverpool fans were against him, just like not all Arsenal fans are calling for Emerys head at the moment.

Then you misunderstood because I wasnt saying he was called a fraud by all Liverpool fans.

Anyway the point is he faced lots of criticism before he got his team including a bunch of key players for 30m, 50m or 70m.

This is damning. We had a better team than last year.
There is no excuse for what we were doing on defense. Especially with his 3 at the back formations
