Do I detect a local bias?  ;D
Problem being for us is that he's short in terms of CBs and more so that he's 34.

By contrast Vogt is 27 and over 190cm tall,
and his passing is rated as a strength.

Really can't argue with this, Jones. It's right there on the page: Hasebe has no significant strengths.

😆

TBH I was more concerned re his height and age.

Two dynamic wingers or a single dynamic winger and a solid defender?

I say fuckit get the two wingers

No matter how wingers we sign we can't expect them to outscore the opponent with our current clusterfuck of a defence.

big moment for the recruitment department to step up in january. we've been conditioned to believe its impossible to buy quality players in january (im sure it is difficult), but this squad, with 2 additions, is good enough to finish 4th and get to the europa league promised land. chelsea probably edge us slightly in overall talent, but if we add a centerback and an attacker (and maybe a LB on loan?) i think we can vault ourselves back into the top 4 and improve our base with which to build this summer.

surely we have £60m to spend in january

With the way that both MU & TH stood up this last round of games I don't think we can afford to not look to strengthen the starting XI in Jan, let alone the current talk that Dembele has agreed to join Zidane at MU in the summer.

Indeed. We need to strike now. Summer is going to be a free for all, and we’ll likely be priced out of most prominent name signings.

If not already...

I don't think we're going to sign any of this season's flavours on the flanks.
How much did Barca pay for Malcom?
IIRC both he and Bailey were valued at around 50m last season - wonder if we can get a reduction on Bailey?
Pavon and Lozano don't seem to be attracting the same interest as yet.

I think we actually have more options this transfer window. Up to us really. I'd rather we re-sign Rambo and actually play him.

Ramsey is pretty much gone to Juve it seems unless PSG can steal him over in the last minute.

Fine with him going to either of those clubs.

Seems his wage demands have put a few suitors off.
Hoping that we can get something done like a swap deal in Jan so as to bolster our starting/match day options.

TBH I still don't think his fitness record warrants it, let alone that he'd be playing in a key role in Emery's system, albeit it's not a playmaker role.

The Ramsey ship has long sailed.

Be interesting if Ramsey leaves for Italy, as it’s hard to imagine him making over 150k there, which I’d think he was offered (at some point) here.

Same place Ronaldo makes over 600k a week? Juve can make a plan.
