Yep. Mkhi looked decent when he came on. Guendo was a mess, and iwobi simply doesn't offer enough between the lines

We really need a boost in our supply lines in january, in the form of a capable wide player that can carry the ball forward

This is 3xactly the sort of game he struggles in. He needs people to play 1 2s etc and our forward play was a mess. He'd have been frustrated and probably disappeared.

Something clicked in Mkhitaryan, after scoring the offside goal, where he started moving much quicker with more purpose. It was almost like he was day dreaming in his first 20-30 minutes.

To a degree, I agree with you regarding the subs but putting Lichsteiner on felt like a misstep, we could have packed the midfield as we were losing that battle at that point in the game.

Also, can we stop talking about Xhaka as if he's the next coming of Xabi Alonso? He's been a bit less crap than he was under Wenger buy we really need to be aiming higher (or getting more out of him). His suspension wasn't the reason we didn't win today.

That was very frustrating to watch. Mourinho is a horrible thing. They should have had at least 3 of their players sent off.

We should have won and by quite a few goals, too. Auba and Mkhi should really have won this in the second half, and we should never have conceded the 2nd goal.

Ultimately we can afford to draw here, but we really need to show up over the christmas period.

this game does highlight the need for quality reinforcements

what is monreal's status? kola is our only "left back" and hes shockingly bad defensively
we cant start lacazette because then we have no reliable attacker to bring off the bench
we have a solid 2 man central midfield partnership, but our 3rd most reliable CM is a very raw 19 year old. if el neny cant get a run in a game like this, given his experience, then he should be sold

im really happy with the direction we are going, and you cant completely overhaul a squad in 1 transfer window, so i know patience is required. need to get rid of the passengers and squad cloggers and bring in a bit more quality so we can rotate a bit more

He's played a lot this season. Hopefully we can throw some fresh legs in against Huddersfield and get back on track.

This is what I meant by the Wenger mentality that seems to affect our players at OT. We've had so many chances to beat a poor ManU team over the years but always bottle it. Twice we've lead only to concede in the most pathetic fashion shortly afterwards. The only good thing is that we we're overall better than them but it wasn't hard to do today.

Positives are that we're still unbeaten in 20 and got a point at OT where we usually lose. Cut out the braindead defending and we'd be so much better off.

Feels like a loss. Being gifted two goals and still not winning is beyond frustrating.

We had a real chance today to prove something, and we threw it away.

Why would you want to bring him or Auba off the bench in the first place when they can start instead, though?

Terrible giveaways for their goals, but 4 out of 6 from those two games is OK for me. Need to hammer Huddersfield and we should overtake Chelsea and Spurs who have City and Leicester away next.

Disagree. Think back to that Chelsea game where he destroyed them. I thought the one thing we missed was someone with the technical ability to tie things together on the ball. Our starting front 3 were all guys who excel off the ball. United were not pressing with much intensity. he’s have had loads of time on the ball.
