Folks are focusing on outlier results like Chelsea and playing them up as the norm. Solid teams like Barca and Liverpool win these tournaments. The Chelsea results are memorable because they’re unexpected

This reminds me of the way most of us were dismissive of Leicester's chances of winning the league few years ago, even when there were just few matches to go, they were still not taken seriously in some quarters. However we all know how that ended. And it's actually farrrrrr easier to fluke a cup final win than winning a league title. Anyone who tells you they know with 100% certainty how a cup competition will pan out is just deceiving themselves IMO

Skybet odds today

Champions League Winner 18/19
Barcelona. 6/4.
Liverpool. 5/2.
Ajax. 7/2.
Tottenham. 4/1.

You guys should put some cash on Spurs

Guys if spurs make the final i don’t think will be able to watch it. They can easily win a one off game.

Luckily Ajax have the weekend off before Spurs.

At least United are out. No chance of someone finishing 5th, winning the Champions League and taking our spot.

Spurs?

Yeah but then how is logic helping to explain Spurs will make it.

That's my point - the illogical happens in this competition sometimes such as the Ajax story, hence Spurs winning the CL, although unlikely, is a real possibility and that's what worries me. If you guys managed to convince yourselves of it not happening because it's only little old Spurs and the likes of Barcelona have the upper hand on them, all power to you and I envy you!

As a troll secret santa prezzie my boss put a bet on in my name for spurs to win the cl. $700 payout. You'd have to add a few more commas before I'd begin to countenance such an awful outcome

Been watching videos of Ajax. My word they have some really clever and composed players.

They’ll definitely have the technical edge over Spurs, it’s a case of whether or not they can handle their brutishness

Let's be honest, they won't. Just have to pray Liverpool or Barcelona hand their arses and intestines to them.

Although, are Son and Kane going to be unavailable?

Son misses the first leg. Not sure when Kane is back. Feel they are better without him anyway

Hopefully Sp*rs making the CL final in 2019 more or less concurrently with a new stadium is like Arsenal making the CL final in 2006, i.e. marks the start of a decade-long decline.

Would be funny if they needed to win the final to get back in but lost

Would be funny if they scored in the 92nd minute to take the final to extra time and celebrated wildly for two minutes. And then VAR said offside.

10 days later

I hope Ajax remain in this tie even if they don't win this leg. Living with the unthinkable till the final will be devastating.

Spurs will win the champions league

OHHHH YESSSS

FUCKLING GET INNNNN
