The only way I will accept this result is if Man City beat Spurs on Saturday. We really need City to recover and win their next two games against our top 4 rivals, no sulking or acting like fucking Wenger. Tonite was their Wayne Bridge moment on crack but need to get over it like we did and go on and win the league. Hopefully this can be a blessing in disguise.

Spurs take their eye off in the league. Two massive games now v Ajax. I wouldn’t be able to take Spurs in the final, a one off game literally anything could happen. We need a committed Ajax to knock them out.

I watched Ajax play better against Real Madrid and Juve than I've seen Spurs play all season, but if I had to guess the team to advance, I'd say Spurs. Ajax are a good team, but what we've seen from them the last matches is not the norm for Ajax.

Juve and Real Madrid were both struggling in general when they played Ajax, and clearly out of form. They also took lightly on it and underestimated Ajax. If you look at those matches, then you'll see that both Real Madrid and Juventus looked really sluggish, unfocused and sloppy. Spurs won't. Ajax are a very good side, but when they play a good side that plays with the same intensity, they'll struggle.

Imagine if you are a City player. You would be devestated. Is three days enough to recover? This Sat is basically their defining point of the season. Win on sat and I reckon they will go on and win the league.

I’m a glass half-full type of guy.
City will punish Spurs on Monday. And United. It is now imperative they win the league.
The Kroenkes and Emery will be under pressure to deliver. We will push for Uefa Cup now, and in the summer I think we will be a bit bolder for fear of mutiny.
This outcome is fine as long as Spurs don’t win the trophy. Quick, without looking, who were the semi-finalists two years ago?

City can't defend, if you have enough quality and courage to go at them, you'll score. How good's Pep, really? No Messi + vintage Barca crop, no dice, it seems. I reckon Spurs will make the final but would probably lose against both of the other side of the draw. Hopefully they tank in Europe and domestically and we can take advantage. Will be a nervous time for Gooners all over.

city were truly awful over the 2 legs tbf. sleepwalked through the first leg, and had a total defensive meltdown in the second. conceding that many goals at home for the first time in a season speaks to a major mental weakness when the pressure is on

Yeah but the offside is counted from the moment it leaves the players foot not from when it hits the post. The rule still makes sense as without the deflection Agüero doesn't get to the ball most likely.

You're probably right. When push comes to shove in Europe, they leak like a sieve. Done it vs. Monaco, Liverpool and now Tottenham.

And Spurs lucked out with Kane injured, becoming a more potent threat on the counter with Son up front.

That said Poch with zero spending whatsoever into the semis after beating Inter, Dortmund, Citeh...would be so funny when Ajax stops them
