Hard to argue he's even currently the best Dutch CB when Virgil van Djik is in this form.

I thought it's obvious that I think he's better. It's not even just me not rating van Dijk as you are, I genuinely think de Ligt is the next Beckenbauer. That performance yesterday wasn't top class for someone of his age it was top class full stop. He's incredibly composed, his physicality I.e. his physique and the way he uses it belies his age and he's the perfect ball playing centre back, not just pinging aimless cross field balls around but hes always playing smart passes that either relieve or add pressure depending on the situation
