Dortmund are the most useless team ever

Dortmund, Napoli, PSG and Arsenal (of a few years ago) all share the trait of playing pretty football, but getting exposed tactically and mentally in Europe.

Better than playing ugly kick and barge football and being exposed like Spurs then

What are their most recent results in Europe? Crashing out a group with Leverkusen, losing to Gent then bottling several match balls to Juventus at home. This is Spurs at the top of their game and we're supposed to envy this?

It’s a horrible style but they are a team of had running giants who are effective with what they do. They have good but not elite technicians.

Modern football is about physical ability morseso than anything else

Have Tottenham officially overtaken Chelsea as the Pride of London?

so much for the Lucien Favre hype train

Why didn't he switch Sancho and Pulisic? Having Sancho run at Aurier who was already on a yellow or just to switch things up.

Somehow I just can't see us battering Dortmund like that home, away or at a neutral ground.

Dortmund was so bad last night, had high hopes for them but this is exactly what I feared back in dec when the draw is made. They always seem to collapse when the real going gets tough.

If they can't even beat a Spurs team without Trippier Rose Kane Alli then forget it when they return in the 2nd leg.

Madrid beating Ajax was one of the most undeserved wins I've ever seen. And fuck that corrupt cunt ref.

That’s at the least debateable as Courtois was never getting to that ball. And there was a clear foul in the build-up to their second goal. But the VAR was reading the paper at that moment I guess.

I don't know if VAR is supposed to intercept on fouls in the build-up play, I haven't read up on that. It didn't do anything about the clear foul in the build-up to Ajax's goal either.

The ref was horrible though, there was one break by Ajax where it cannot even be offside as it was before the halfway line. Not even VARed. Ridiculous.

Ajax would have won that game 9 out of 10 times by a good margin.

5 days later

Gnabry masterclass incoming.

Allison is cracking.

That passage of play when their right back dinked the ball in field to Martinez who took it on the chest.

That's one of the ways you can beat a press. Our full backs don't do that.

The level of football on display in this Liverpool game is way above us. Enjoyable first half so far
