Dortmund was so bad last night, had high hopes for them but this is exactly what I feared back in dec when the draw is made. They always seem to collapse when the real going gets tough.

If they can't even beat a Spurs team without Trippier Rose Kane Alli then forget it when they return in the 2nd leg.

That’s at the least debateable as Courtois was never getting to that ball. And there was a clear foul in the build-up to their second goal. But the VAR was reading the paper at that moment I guess.

I don't know if VAR is supposed to intercept on fouls in the build-up play, I haven't read up on that. It didn't do anything about the clear foul in the build-up to Ajax's goal either.

The ref was horrible though, there was one break by Ajax where it cannot even be offside as it was before the halfway line. Not even VARed. Ridiculous.

Ajax would have won that game 9 out of 10 times by a good margin.
