i thought france were comfortably the best team at the tournament and deserved winners. deschamps made them play with discipline, so despite having a great array of attackers they were dull at times. they certainly weren't a total borefest though. i found them more entertaining than the spain team from 2010 for example
many of us on this forum skew older. the game and the characters therein have changed alot in our time, so it's easy to sometimes feel alienated, or that everything is a bit hollow. to me the final kind of encapsulated football in 2018, replete with dodgy keeping and VAR intervention
