many of us on this forum skew older. the game and the characters therein have changed alot in our time, so it's easy to sometimes feel alienated, or that everything is a bit hollow. to me the final kind of encapsulated football in 2018, replete with dodgy keeping and VAR intervention
World cup '98 is what started it all for me. International football has never been as beautiful as it was around then. Every tournament since has been more and more hollow. I guess that's football in general anyway.
Look at the Brazil team of today compared to the one of '98. Neymar would probably rotate with Denilson at left wing.
