We are aware of a small group of fans celebrating the match result in one of our stores. Being both British and Swedish, we were on the edge of our seats during the game and we would like to say ‘grattis!’

Why are people so sensitive about being cheered against anyway? When you cheer against City and United does it mean you have to hate everyone from Manchester?

All this thread needs for English supporters to turn against is the Lingard dance gif. If anyone were still interested in supporting them after that, then it's just a dire situation beyond help.

For the same reason people get sensitive when we have Liverpool or United or indeed Swansea fans posting on this forum. Match threads generally have emotions running high at the best of times.

This is new ground for England supporters tbf. Their football team has been an international punchline for so long, they've forgotten there's a whole world out there that doesn't want them winning anything. My workplace is chockful of english expats, a few of which are scum supporters. I need this to blow up asap, preferably in VAR induced acrimony

England are the only team with an Arsenal representative and the other squad have plenty of players from rivals and who also have players who could be deemed unlikable Pogba and just playing for Chelsea surely is just as sufficient.

I understand people have various motivations for their position but it isn't a rationale position based on club rivalry . I'm all for wanting Arsenal to prevail over all other teams but I don't get consumed in the only way for that to happen is for me to hate anything non Arsenal. I don't understand that mindset.

It's basically the same reason Spain used to underperform though since people were so divided between Barcelona and Real Madrid that they couldn't put it to one side for the international tournaments.

I said it's a non-issue and not even close to an "attack" - that language is absolutely designed to be inflammatory. There is no aggression in that video, no fighting, they haven't smashed anything (note that the crockery on the table is untouched despite being the most delicate and smallest thing to hand). It's a few banter boys, who had probably been in a pub for seven hours, dancing on a bed and singing a stupid song.

I never quite understood that either to be honest, nor agreed with the hostility shown towards them at times.
