I can't explain properly. With the resources at his disposal, he should be trying to match them and beat them. And yes, I admire a team that tries to nullify the other team's strength but not to the extent where you just hope for a point for that particular 6 pointer game. That is a mourinho school mentality which mou employs frequently in such fixtures.
You change tactics, slow down but also use your strengths to try and beat the opposition. Plus my deep rooted hatred for this overrated charlatan of a manager-all things combined makes him cowardly.
actually, it doesnt make him cowardly.. it makes your view of him skewed based on your feelings.
matching and beating liverpool at 100mph (the only style they know how to play) isnt really what you want to do, especially at Anfield... honestly, a 0-0 draw away to their main title contender is a respectable result for City. they had slightly more possession and had as many shots on target as Pool did
Yes, they are all obvious points. But I see a difference. It's completely different to us or anyone else going for this approach. Even then I'd like to be open to creating and taking the odd chance.
The way I see it, he was thoroughly outplayed the last time and so took his half a billion dollar team and went ahead and completely killed the game. Zero shots on goal the whole first half. Not even 10 rounds of the league done yet. Add to that, he's supposed to be the football christ going on the cross for the rest of us all and , had proclaimed he wasn't going to change his attacking game ever.
