Morocco is getting so much good possession but final balls from Amrabat, Ziyech and Harit leaves much to be desired. They’re keeping the ball on the floor on the approach, and then get to the final 3rd and have decided to go into the air at which point they just turn over possession. So frustrating. Would like to see them try to dribble into the net a bit, and put the defense under pressure all the way towards the penalty area more.

This Morocco midfield is Wenger's wet dream. Bunch of midget attacking midfielders who look pretty on the ball but offer fuck all goal threat.

That was a scary collision.

What the flying fuck? You outplay a team and then score a beautiful header for them?

Morocco reminds me of a classic Wenger post-decline Arsenal team, and in so many ways.

Iran is really solid defensively, even Argentina struggled to get past them 4 years ago. They went 12 games without conceding a goal and today they set out to just steal points on the counter. Needed an OG though.

Good start to Portugal-Spain.

Ronaldo with an exquisitely struck penalty in the 4th minute. That’s exactly what this game needed. I want to see Spain going at Portugal who are, on paper, the inferior team.

Guedes should do better there on the counter. Spain vulnerable on the break.

Diego Costa. What a forward. Power. Patience. Precision.

How did the VAR allow that? Clearly a foul.

What's the point of VAR?

He had no business scoring there. What a goal.

Such a Stoke goal. Big hoof up the pitch to a centre forward who fouls defenders out of the way.

Almost 2.
