Speaks volumes of his ability. This Portugal team is a carcass. They were played right off the park by Spain. In my World Cup prediction draw I had Morocco finishing 2nd in this group. Guess I was wrong, but intrinsically this is a stronger team than Portugal, they just lack finishers. Portugal have a team that is at once old and inexperienced, they have some flashy players but are built around a central midfield with no soul.
When you do a proper post-morterm of the Spain game you will see that Spain had significantly more possession, and scored very good goals. Portugal scored static or opportunistic goals completely around the run of play thanks to one man. They could quite easily be on 0 or 1 point.
