Looks like we have gone for real steel and experience with the players we are linked with. More brute and mental strength than ballers.

Not fussed with this signing, since we have no money and have other more important priority positions to strengthen

Welcome aboard, Mr. L.
I hope he scares the begeezus out of Bellerin.
One year contract, free, experience, leadership.
Solid.

I like him. Generally poor in the final third, but I like him.

he was good enough to play for juve many times this past season and in their most important game of the season last month at the bernabeau so he's more than good enough to play here and light a fire under that slacker bellerin.

Havent liked him since his time at Lazio.. but welcome all the same. now you can be a hard, dirty bastard for us

Upgrade on Debuchy and Jenks so good business.

Also, changed the game at Wembley against Spurs, didn't he?

Interesting how Lichsteiner has become a stick with which to beat Bellerin.

And he hasn’t even played a single game for us

In fairness Hectors clothes and fashion sense has been used as a stick to beat him too and they haven’t played for us either.

There's nothing weird about it. Bellerin hasn't been playing well and in comes a guy who hopefully can teach him a thing or two.

Like he has been known to do to whom previously?

It’s a laughable assumption/ assertion anyway.

When Lacazette wasn’t playing well no one was saying hey when we sign Aubameyang he can come in and show him a thing or two. If we sign a new goalie or CM it wouldn’t be to show Cech or Xhaka a thing or two. It would be to either replace them or rest them. Coaches are the ones who are primarily tasked with improving players, and setting the tone. Not some random old dude from another club who has no standing in our dressing room and isn’t exactly a colossus in his position on the world stage.

I sure hope you see why that wouldn't be anywhere near the same situation.

I sure hope you see the overall point I am trying to make

Yeah, except none of your comparisons were of a player whose experience is basically the only thing he has left coming as backup to a young player who desperately needs guidance.

Yeah

Good.

Lichtsteiner a random old dude? Jeez.

If Bellerin has any sense he'll watch every move the man makes and try and see if he can end up with half as many medals when he's 34 years old.
