I can’t blame the club, because it is not like there is a super option available. For me Jardim was the best candidate, but for some reason he was never mentioned.
When we knew Guardiola was interested, we should have told him yes, and showed Wenger the door, but we didn’t so here we are. There simply is no outstanding candidate. Conte might be the best manger who could have taken over, but between the budget, his approach and the fact his family have stayed in Italy, he was never a viable option. Tuchel was already secured by PSG.
Emery is the best of rest, so let us see what he can do. If he doesn’t work out, there may be more the Emery going out the door, and then we can hire again. Nagelsmann, Rose,Tedesco, Silva, maybe Arteta with more assistant managerial experience etc.
Tactically it will be interesting for sure, but I do not see him leading us anywhere, I really hope I am wrong.
