I can see the situation becoming toxic if we keep him in the squad but never play him.
Would it work if we find a club that would take him on loan with us continuing to pay his wages in exchange for one (or more) of their players who they also agree to continue paying?
That way we get someone more suited to Emery's football for the £350k a week as opposed to the nothing we would get by dropping him completely.
Not sure it's legal but it could benefit a club like PSG with FFP as their wage bill is not affected and he is less likely to refuse as there would be the carrot of a guaranteed title and CL football. It could possibly also work for whoever is champion in the Turkish league although they would be less likely to have unwanted players that would improve us.
