He played well but looked unfit. Wouldn’t be surprised if he comes off the bench. We might risk injuring him if he starts both games. And which game do we need him in more?

He was good considering he's barely played. If Emery actually plans on getting any value from him he needs to play more than once a month

Issues maybe but we need Ozil otherwise we have no X factor

Given the quality of the opposition he was alright but the level in the premiership is quite a step up so not sure there was enough to suggest he is essential to play honestly.

True. Training and playing are completely different.
We only have to look how long it's taking for De Bruyne to get his form back to know that Ozil is a write off for the next couple of months.
Shame we fucked up the first leg as this was an opportunity lost for the likes of Nketiah, Medley, Willock and Sayo.

It's different coming back from a big injury where you've been laid up for a couple of months and coming back from full training.

Ozil will be fine after a game or two. The most worrying aspect is the failure of Emery to get the players onside and confident in him - to a man, they are going through the motions.

:-/ yeah, sure they are

Nice to see that our players are not actually just going through the motions. They all looked hungry. Hopefully, they have the hunger and fitness to dominate down the stretch.

Don't think our team has lacked motivation at any point this season. They've worked hard every game. We've had bouts of confidence coupled with not having enough players with an attacking threat at times, but I wouldn't attribute that to not playing for the manager at all.

Agreed, very few players have looked unmotivated. They've often looked clueless but certainly not unmotivated. The exceptions are whenever we meet the pub level teams.

20 days later

He has invited Erdogan to his wedding and there are rumours he wants him to be his groomsman 😆 laughing already in anticipation of the massive shitstorm this'll cause here

The look on Gurgen's face when he reads that will be priceless.

Not really no. But the reasons people will take exception to Özil inviting Erdogan will have nothing to do with why it's not cool to invite him
