Some of the rags are running stories that PV feels snubbed by the club and that they made contact as a token gesture.
My view is that any contact made whilst a prospect is/was still under contract can only be as a fact finding mission in the first instance, and that any follow up would be subject to how enthusiastic the prospect was to engage in real dialogue.
IMO the position is one of THE elite managerial gigs at one of the richest clubs in the game, and is primed for the next manager to make a name for themselves if they are any good. Any half decent manager who is not currently managing a post R16 CL club should be falling over themselves for the gig, any anyone who is not doing their utmost to make themselves THE preferred option can only have themselves to blame.
Not saying that this is the case re PV or anyone else, just that actions speak louder than words and IMO it's not what the club can do for you, but rather what you can do for the club.
