I agree with that, I'm all for Arteta if he has a strong support team behind him. At the moment that isn't the case.

According to Sky Sports, Mikel Arteta and Julian Nagelsmann have emerged as the front runners for the Arsenal manager's job.
I swear every day there is a new "front runner" or "runners". Anyways, no to Arteta but yes to Nagelsmann.
Don't think Nagelsmann is interested. @DarrenArsenal1 who is quite reliable for behind the scenes stuff said there was an enquiry which went nowhere. He probably wants to remain in Germany a few more years and eventually take over at Bayern.
I think that is probably the case with Allegri & Jardim, press are linking us but I get the feeling those two probably aren't interested in this project. Firstly someone like Allegri would want more than what Wenger was on which is fair enough. Then want a large budget to spend on improving the squad. The board might agree to his wages but won't agree to the budget so he's probably thinking he'd be better off staying at Juve. Coming from Juve he'd want his next club to be competing to win the CL, not competing to qualify for it! If we were in the CL and closer to the top it would be easier to convince him. We finished 5th last season and 6th this season, we are in not in any position to command the best managers. Especially as we aren't prepared to offer a big budget to get us back in the top 4. We are clearly looking for a more creative and innovative solution to getting back there.
Sky Sports are a rubbish source these days, I get the feeling half the shit they make up is for Sky Bet odds. I think the press are making up a lot as well, probably being fed shit from the club as well who would not want to admit these top managers don't want to join us.
