you really think so? if he picks an established manager with a big pedigree, and that guy struggles, he can easily defend his choice "he was a proven winner, he was an easy choice"...if he picks someone with no experience, like arteta, and arteta bombs here after a year, if he decides to sack him, people will question his judgment. this is how it works at every major company and corporation. the people who pick leadership and put people into power are ultimately held responsible (or praised) when those moves either succeed or fail. who can ivan blame if the manager he picks is a flop? no one but himself.
he'll give the next manager 3-4 years to work out a plan and either succeed or fail.
