Looking at his other posts on A-M, he's a big Anderlecht fan. There are a couple of Belgium based Gooners on A-M who have said that Musonda is a phenomenal prospect, and rated higher than Romelu Lukaku by the coaching staff.

Anyway, I think it's the link-up between us and them that is the promising bit.

Lukaku is a tad overrated anyway. He might become the new Drogba but he could just as easily become the new Heskey.

You know what Gurgen's saying in this case, though. We won't know until Lukaku comes up against some real quality defenders/teams whether he really has the technical quality and game understanding to be a top player, or he's just another 6'3" battering ram/donkey.

Well right now he's a battering ram. People are impressed because he's so young, but being big at a young age is not talent. He's done some good things but I haven't seen anything from a footballing perspective that would justify spending €20m on him at this point.

ok, fair enough. we're also a club who can afford to take a punt at those prices.

spend it on rossi

It would be a dream to have Rossi. I just can't see it though, Dula/Machete.
It's so funny. I'm used to be being disappointed by Wenger, but I somehow still have this expecation that this will be an underwhelming summer when the dust settles. Maybe one can reconcile those things by pointing out that this is probably the lowest we've been. At least when we were thanking bad Italian dinners for our entry into the Champions League at Spurs expense, we could still be buoyed by the fact that we had a genuine winner like Henry on the squad. Now, what is there to fan the embers of fanatical hope? Who is there to reassure us that the sun will once again cast its glow over the Arsenal? This is a dark, foreboding place.

well, they brought the clock back to the emirates didnt they? what more do you want? slaphead gazadis is really earning his beans...

to coin a phase from DaGunners - Dave Dein shits and pisses over Gazadis from a great height.

They signed another useless winger it seems from Espanyol so they really need to clear a few fringe attackers.

Is the Canales guy any good?

Hilarious 'article' by the Sun. Looks like they've put a lot of effort into making it.

Canales is great. Another talent in the process of being ruined by Madrid.

Where would he play in our system? Could he hack it wide, does he have the speed?

He would replace Fabregas I presume.

As in replace him when he's not fit, or replace him at the club? Because if it's the second that would be ridiculous. Obviously.

What do you mean when he's not fit? I thought it was clear Cesc is leaving.

I don't know if it's ridiculous or not but Canales is definitely a quality player and more of an attacking midfielder 10 than Cesc. Obviously not on the same level yet (and never will be if he stays at Madrid).

I don't think he's leaving, and if he is it's certainly not a foregone conclusion.

Canales can't replace Cesc. It'd be mad to think otherwise.

Since we're not getting Ozil or Gourcuff to replace him we'll have to compromise.

Even both of them would be big step downs, that's why we won't sell him. Not this summer anyway.

And unless your name is Dennis Bergkamp, I don't like the Number 10 role. In our team I would rather two proper strikers or three proper midfielders.
