It's true but in the first half both Mkhi and Ozil killed our attacks with some absolutely terrible final ball. Those were down to executions and personal bottle. Both had terrible games

In the 2nd half Wenger's tactics left a lot to be desired. He had no answers at all.

If they were playing on the proper sides of the pitch they might have made better passes in the final 3rd. Why do we want our main creators to have to cut back and come short? It makes no sense. They aren't Salah type players, their game is pass and move. Mkhi was deadly from the right, so naturally, Wenger moves him to the left. Hes a fucking moron, and none of the players are to blame, not one jot. There is no "bit of both" anymore. Sick of hearing it.

He has his ready made answer of putting 3 strikers on.

They were snappier in every 50/50. We didn't show the same desire. Nothing tactical can change that.

When you have three central midfield players who aren't exactly known for their tackling then yes something tactical can change that.

Just put Ramsey and Wilshere together in a midfield two for the rest of this sham of a season.

Mkhitaryan wide right with licence to roam, Ozil behind Aubameyang and Nelson on the left. That's at least balanced.

When you watched the game it was our players like iwobi and ozil that should be able to recieve the ball under pressure were getting beaten to it. We could have a better defensive midfield. But our attacking players would still have to be able to recieve the ball. And compete.

Iwobi is usually very good at beating the high press with his close control, Ozil was never good for it as evident from our past hammerings where teams target to dispossess him. The problem with our attacking players is that none have the power and technique to run past and beat their pressing so we totally suffered.

You don't just run past a press though, you need players in positions to take an offload and move into the space left by the press.

Our players don't create a good structure for themselves to pass and move. Ozil is good but needs others to take up places around him to exploit the pass and move on through a full press. We can do rapid interchange passing and often create good chances from them, but we don't do it on a regular basis as part of positioning its more off the cuff type of play.

Iwobi is good at it but he's a bit of risk taker, which suits his position usually but when drops deep he can into trouble because of it. Totally agree we need someone in the attack to beat the press. Even early against Spurs we managed that a couple of times and they were totally caught out but we kept fucking up the final pass. Spurs then adjusted a little and those chances went away. Making those chances count is key in the big matches.

To be honest I can’t believe we are doing this again.

Instead of focusing on the manager, and myriad of reasons our performance as a team has been wildly inconsistent and at times downright shocking, we are picking holes at the last bit of real class at the club. FFS he is playmaker who has no runners in front of him, and no one able to pass the ball to him consistently. Sometimes he is dropping past the midfield, just to pick up the ball!!

Can he play better? Of course, but finger pointing at him, to even claiming that he should leave is farcical.

It doesn't make sense but his horrible form makes him a legitimate target of attack for fans as he has been terrible since he came back from "illness" (hung-over from partying in Istanbul with his fiancée?) 3 games ago.
It doesn't matter that he was brilliant for the previous few months as he, of all people, was misplacing passes Coquelin would be capable of making so he has provided his detractors with all the ammunition they need.

His performance in the second half on Thursday was disgraceful though. He might as well have walked off the pitch. I understand he has his money now but it would be nice if he wouldn't give up so easily, even if just for appearances sakes.
