By the way, I don’t see why Laca and Auba can’t play together.

MD, we cannot afford to completely start again with a bunch of 'kids'. We need a mix. I would love to go into next season with something like Ozil, Aubameyang, and then maybe 2-3 other super quality 20-25 year old players to add to our mix. That would be a good start.

Turning over the squad with just kids would leave an experience vaccuum. Which exists even today. Look at our team. With Sanchez out the door, we really only have Ozil, Koscielny, Monreal and Cech as veteran quality winners on the squad. Maybe you count Ramsey as well. All of those guys could be gone within 18 months due to age or contract. The rest are some combination of invalid, young, new, or shit.

sure, you definitely cant have an entire starting XI of 20-22 year olds. that said, i think you have room for experience, especially at the back. buy sokratis from dortmund (who we were linked to a year or two ago)...hes 29. he could stabilize our CB partnership and might help mustafi pull his head out of his ass. a player like fabinho is only 24, but he's played 200 games for monaco, he could come in and lead our midfield and that wouldnt be too much of an expectation for him.

i take the point about auba being proven and a reliable goal scorer. fine. sign him. but just buying him isnt going to fix even 1/4 of the problems we have. he might get us 4 or 5 more points in a season. we have so many areas to fix. if hes going to cost £45 or 50m pounds, given that hes probably got 3 seasons left, then we better damn well be ready to spend £200m+ this summer to overhaul the rest of the squad.

Why would he or anyone come here currently? If we're interested then surely he would have other options that have some sort of hope of having a few good seasons and not being a laughing stock wouldn't he? Is the pull of living in London really that strong these days?

Having someone who actually scores goals, and not just the sheer bulk but actually knows how to convert the chances that matter, is going to make all the difference in the worldt. You simply cannot overstate the importance of a top class striker.

Money. The bloke was willing to move to China for a fat paycheck. We offer him a huge wage improvement, one that is actually competitive, and he'll be on the next flight to London.

Well that's usually us out of the conversation then isn't it? Must be someone else competing with our offer if he's really that good.

Usually I'd agree with this sentiment, but Lacazette is allegedly on a ludicrous 200k p/w contract and if reports are to be believed we've offered Ozil and Sanchez deals in the region of 300k p/w

The China deal has be on and off with him for a year and a half. He's 29 if we put an egg timer on the deal I can see him coming here he must know his value is about to plummet.

Guys, if the guy is willing to take our calls, this is a no-brainer. Give him some of the Sanchez money and be done with it. I will have forgotten Sanchez by next week. We don't do legends anymore. Just hired guns

Sven must be pushing for this deal, with his Dortmund links. He must know Auba inside out and Auba probably wants to link up with him again at Arsenal.

Why would he want to link up with a scout?

And he can put in a good word for him when negotiating wages. Malcom looks like a Sven player too.

That's an implied probability of 60%, wtf

Betting services always get cautious when many people place a bet on something or when rumours start going around, which is often at the same time.

better start saving lads, auba's gonna cost an absolute bomb on FUT.

Puskas Olly G + Auba

Matt Law jumping on the Auba to Arsenal bandwagon now.
