If he's unhappy Bordeaux might just want replacements lined up first.

do they need a CM with a strong left foot? we have one of those we could offer instead

Offer them Mkhitaryan 😉

matt law says malcom is a grimandi recommendation, not sven, which might be why its dying out?

It's not because of who recommended him. It's because of the trash we're getting from United as part of the Sanchez deal.

We are not shapers of our own destiny, Klaus. So much of our marquee player strategy is really shaped by fallout at bigger clubs. Both Ozil and Sanchez were opportunistic buys after they were deemed dispensable. Mkhitaryan while a relatively big name, is a castoff made dispensable by the Sanchez acquisition and so forth. Lacazette, if you count him as a big name, is an exception.

It would be good to see us have a much more self-directed plan for our bigger signings. Where we identify some big names and go after without having to wait for their present clubs to deem them superfluous

Sanchez was going to GI to city originally but FFP made it to difficult for them. They had a CL squad size reduction the year before and strong sanctions were on the wy if Sanchez came in. So we took him. Ozil refused to come here initially but real really forced him out the door and other clubs rejected the chance to sign him.

Nobody takes arsenal seriously anymore. And they haven't for a very long time.

The Times say Malcom has rejected the contract terms offered to him by you guys.

We behave like opportunistic bottom feeders in the market, and end up with a hodge podge mess of a team that can't be moulded into any cohesive unit. The rudderlessness of the recruitment strategy has been fucking staggering in the last 5 years

Yep. It's not him rejecting us, it's because we can't have Malcom and the average Armenian in the squad both competing for the same spot on the right wing.

We needed more than both Malcom and Mikhi but Wenger thinks otherwise.

No surprise why we are not competing and being taken seriously. Speedy is spot on.

This is the worst thing about Arsenal. I can handle bad form and humiliation, but every summer we go into the transfer market and there isn't a fan who has a shred of hope that we'll actually address our problems.

There's zero hope for the future, and like a famous philosopher once said, you can live without water for many weeks but you cannot live a single minute without hope.

In the cold light of day Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan for a half committed Sanchez isn't a bad window.

I'm also pretty pleased about the mini clearout.

Me too. Hopefully a sign of things to come this summer.

Don’t think Wenger is ITK with transfers anymore.

Who else would you add?

Pack up welbz to turkey in the summer and replace him with malcom or lemar, and that's an efficient clearout in the space of 12 months
