He was an arrogant piece of shit as a player with a nasty Scholes like violent streak on him, collected like 15 red cards in his career. Not sure how everyone seems to forget all the stamps and lashing out, wasn't even booked for half of them. Doesn't look like his venomous aggression changed over the years either looking at Madrids playing style since he took over
Then theres his endorsement of Bouteflika which weighs way more than all of the above. He was insanely fun to watch and is certainly one of the greats (although a tad overrated at the same time if that makes sense) but that doesn't mean he was a nice person himself.
