For all the talk about playing different teams for a change in the Europa, we're obviously getting Dortmund in the first knockout round.

Came to post the same. They're going to do us too. Better them than Spurs, to be frank.
Real we're able to just cut through them though - although difference is Real have several players who can confidently run at you with the ball at their feet. We have maybe two.

As for Kane, I mentioned a few weeks ago that he's elite level now. If we had him the last four years on our roster, we would have a league title, certainly in the Leicester season.

Besiktas have been really impressive this campaign. Don't think anyone would've expected them to top their group, thoroughly dominant performances vs both Leipzig and Porto

Also cue the "Harry Kane is world class" posts in this thread after scoring a hat trick vs part time plumbers/accountants in a tax haven

How about the fact he regularly scores vs the top 6 in the prem? Or his one man demolition of Dortmund the other week? Give credit where due.

He has had 6 hattricks in 2017. The next best is PEA at 3. Messi has 2.

His playing style is pretty similar to Ronaldo's recent years. Take pot shots everywhere but is so accurate and powerful he scores most of the time. Hope he gets sold next season, but will definitely be a worldie fee.

I have read some reports that they will surprise us when the group stages is drawn and true enough. They were very impressive in the league last season despite their rivals spending huge amounts. Their manager is none other than the guy who brought Turkey to a 3rd place finish in world cup.

I thought Shakhtar stifled City pretty well to an extent. I expect them to run Napoli very close for a 2nd place. Spartak despite their poor domestic form will surprise many as well, they have Conte's disciple in charge.

I don't think I have ever seen a team as bad as Qarabag in Champions League.

Neymar with a Theo Walcott patented first touch.

2-0 PSG. Mbappe holds up the ball well for Cavani to sweep it beautifully into the roof of the net from the top of the box. Both goals have been excellent. That's what happens when you have super quality

PSG 2-0 up, both great goals. Enjoying this way too much, I celebrated the goals like it was us scoring ffs

Bayern have arguably made better chances But that front 3 of psg is lethal

Not pushing harder for Mbappe these last 3 transfer windows should be added to Wenger's rap sheet. Fek!

Atletico 1-0 up fuck yes

Bless Luiz and his retarded defending

Lovely player.

Really entertaining game PSG-Bayern.

Should have paid the dodgy commission his dad was asking for.  It would've been worth a transfer ban and some fines

Lukaku getting easy goals in the CSKA game. He will easily clear 30 goals for the season in all competitions this season. Bang for buck right there. Even Martial looks alive. I really hope they face a PSG team in top form in the QFs and get a pasting

Incredible move by Mbappe, he owned Alaba there.

Good fucking grief that touch by Mbappé

RIP Alaba

We call that "show me your number!" Poor Alaba

Incredible amount of diving and fouling in the Chelsea atleti game

Glad we are not in this cup. We aren't on this level. Not with Wenger's coaching and Dick's recruitment.
PSG are butter. And this was a team without Draxler and Di Maria. Incredible. Always nice to see Bayern on the right end of a beating. Let's see how their social media team celebrate this one

We’re never going to get to that level if we’re not in it.

I think I’m going to adopt PSG for the season in the CL, it’s the right thing to do.

Salty i know but at 3-nil, i began hoping for a 5-1.

I don't think he's wrong looking at City at the moment. We're two months into the season and they've scored like 40 goals already, and they're winning games in style. Guardiola is starting to have a transformative effect on them.

Yes, but as their opponents why make those comments publicly even if you believe them privately. Surely you want to have your own team fired up and feeling they have a decent chance. Napoli aren't a pub team from round the corner. They are top of Seroe A. I think mind games. Underdogging it.

I guess it's a bit of both. Napoli's squad is half as good as City's. He's probably trying to lower expectations a bit by bigging up Guardiola and pointing out what everyone else can already see.

Benzema missed an absolute sitter. 4 minutes gone, hope Spuds get torn a new one.

I watch the goals City are consistently scoring, and I realize how far away we are from having anything close to their team organization/play or talent.

Jinxed it, Spurs leading. Varane OG

Kane bottles a 1v1, thank god, his fan boys on here would have had a field day! It was actually a great save to be fair.

Madrid a shambles at the back, Tottenham wasteful.

He has fan boys here?
I cannot get my head round that as, to this day, i cannot appreciate bale or even cronaldo as they played for our rivals.
Even sol campbell never won me over as much as he deserved.
On a serious note, spuds are so much better than us it's gone beyond embarrassing.

they don't look likely to crumble any time soon, as poch seems keen to stick around, and insane transfer valuations are stalling the likes of kane and alli from being poached by bigger clubs like back in the day. hopefully the combination of lack of silverware and low wages starts to rot away at them

How can you like football and not appreciate C.Ronaldo?

Sol Campbell should be loved for coming to us in his prime. He won titles with us when Spurs were winning jack.

When will people accept that we're not rivals with United? We haven't been for years. It's not 2004 anymore it's 2017. That doesn't mean we should like them but let's be real here - not liking a great like Ronaldo because he played for United 8 years ago is weird.

As much as it hurts to say it, Spurs are a top side.

Spurs are a top side. City are just sensational. KDB was running the show again. He makes football a joy to watch

I'm sorry but i can't stand the man and do not enjoy his brand of athletic/mechanical/robotic football.
The only manu player i've ever kind of liked is denis law for back-heeling them down to the second division.
