If nothing else, they deserve to go out just for benching Insigne. Apparently De Rossi was mad when being told to warm up, as he was of the opinion that a striker should be subbed on rather than himself. 😆

No Italy or Holland, this World Cup is going to be so weird.
Chile is a much bigger miss than either. They had played lovely football at their last few competitions.
Also out are USA, Cote 😃’Ivoire, Cameroon, Ghana, etc. Good times.
I felt Italy and Argentina would be able to regroup and play much better in the tournament due to experience/pedigree. They are the only 2 out of that group that wouldn't be called surprise packages if they made it to the semi-finals.
Bit sad not to see Buffon bow out at one last World Cup but perhaps some karma from some of their diving at previous World Cups.
