Meanwhile Wenger said

I call BS on that as other team's new players do not have to go through this "learn how to play in the premier league" 1 or 2 year bedding-in period.
Welcome Alex Lacazette
"other teams new players" - that's pretty vague - which teams? Players? What league did they come from? What was their age? Experience?
I think one could find plenty examples to support the settling in theory and could counter them with examples that demonstrate that it's not always necessary.
You want me to pick one or fifty out of this list?

I really cannot be asked but i sure as hell know there's no other similar striker suffering this constant 70 min fate.
Ok, let's not be concerned with determining any provisional "truth" or any open exchange of ideas.
Sorry i'm baby sitting (not going well!) so please excuse me for dipping in and out.
Think the 70 min. sub thing is Wenger being his usual self. He's thinking about the player, not the result, and does what he thinks is best in that regard. He also has a template for adaptation he applies to every player. He doesn't really account for any differences in that regard, and if he does, it's because of their position on the pitch and not their individual attributes re: stamina/physicality/mentality/what-have-you.
Did he play Sanchez for the full 90 from the beginning?
I can't remember. I have a feeling he may have done so a lot sooner than he has done for Lacazette.
He done the same with podi always took him of after 70min. We all complained. Eventually when he did play 90 min he was to knackered to do anything for the last 25.
Laca looks more jaded now than he did at the start of the season relative to his teammates thank Christ he's only played 70 min a game otherwise he'd be Burt toast now.

I was thinking he did alright.
Sanchez is a different animal to most.
So is Wenger.

Sanchez is furious when he doesn't play. A bit ridiculous at times, but a stronger character at the end of the day. Wenger actually is a better manager when his players contest his choices, disagree, or take things into their own hands. Lacazette should assert himself much more, not just listen to the boss and do what he's told.
So that Arsene can freeze him out like he did with Podolski? In a World Cup year? I'm not sure he's in a very good position to 'assert himself' at the moment.
I don't think Wenger has ever particularly rated Lacazette, hence why he's declined the chance to sign him every summer for the last 2-3 years prior to last summer despite our desperate need to sign one. I think he felt much the same way this summer as many of us in thinking, 'meh, I guess he'll do'. I think those preconceived ideas are still in his head, hence why he was left out of some big games and why he keeps giving him the hook during games, I reckon he thinks he doesn't get involved enough or isn't enough of a presence.

We seemed ot chase other option but with Giroud so close to leaving we got this deal done. To be sure to have someone.

So what then? Just fuck around and accomplish nothing? At least people like Alexis, Van Persie, Fabregas, Viera, Henry, Bergkamp actually had some guts. They aren't just push-overs who do what their told even if it's obviously wrong.
The players need to freeze Wenger out. That whole "manager on the pitch" stuff from the early titles and through the invincibles was because Wenger wasn't going to do it, he didn't provide what they needed to win. The players filled in the gaps, so he slowly got rid of them, took full control, and now this is where we are at.
He should be screaming at his team mates to give him the ball. He should be having words and making a fuss. He should be scoring goals, and playing to his strengths, and telling the rest to follow suit. That's how you really lead the line. He's just another one of these over-privileged, lackadaisical footballers who needs the perfect environment to operate in, and Wenger isn't going to provide it. He keeps his head down and works hard, but what good does that do me as a fan? Fuck that shit, at least entertain me.
What the hell do I care about his world cup spot? Anyway, if he's taking charge, scoring goals, running the show...he'll get the call-up, and Wenger will play him for 90 minutes every match, because in the end all he really wants is his players to make all his decisions for him.
This is the new guy you’re talking about here Coombs
Yeah, it's pretty rare for a player to publicly kick up a fuss in the first 5 months.
I'm just asking him to take charge on the pitch and be a leader in the dressing room, not publicly kick up a fuss. That's what the best players do, new or not.
You literally said he should be screaming at his team mates and making a fuss though.
But again, he's new to the team, new to the country, new to the system, and he isn't categorized among the best players by any metric. He is a good player, that's it.
He isn't in any position to behave the way you would like him to.
