He is better than what they've got so it's a good buy.
If they get Aubameyang as well, they will possess a scary fast front line with Mane.

I think he's a good signing too. He didn't even look that bad for Chelsea, just never got a chance.

Salah-Firminho-Mane
-----Coutinho-----

That's a decent front line. No 20 goal player in there but four 10-15 goal players which compensates for the lack of one true goalscorer. Aubameyang in place of Firminho would be a pretty scary prospect for the rest of the league. Don't see it happening though, hopefully it doesn't anyway. That said a fit and firing Sturridge is good for 20 league goals. They look good up there. It's the rest of the team that needs work. No convinced by any of their midfielders, not even Can. Clyne is the only decent defender they have. Keepers are shit.

I'll reserve judgement on Salah because I haven't seen him play for a long time and, like Goon, I always thought he looked half decent when he was at Chelsea, but Coutinho, Mane and Firminio, in my opinion, is not anything that scary. All good players but also each of them are at least a couple of notches below other top attackers around. All Liverpool level players and no higher.

Liverpool are a weird one.

They're not capable of dominating the league, but if several top clubs under-perform like in 15/16, they could be in the running near the top of the league.

Equally, if they go far in Europe, that could take its toll, and cause them to fall out of the top 4 again

Very difficult to call.

Firmino will be our false 9.

I think it's easy.
They may be good for a cup but the league is beyond them.
We will be scrapping for top-4 with them and the spuds.
Europe will hurt them as Klopp makes his players press so much, they are knackered by January.
This is also AFCON time so Mane and Salah would be gone with added risk of injury and potential loss of rhythm/form.
No way will they be a match for chelsea who i think remain favourites for the title next year.
City are chelsea's biggest threat as they have the best squad on paper but, luckily, Guardiola doesn't know his best team.

i think they'll be prickly customers for sure, and probably notch some high profile wins, but you still need world class players to pull you out of the shit when the going gets tough. the front 4 are all good players, but klopp will probably run them into the ground as well

IMO EUROPA will hurt us as much as CL will LFC,
and we already have a history for a Feb-Mar collapse most seasons.
Not to forget that Klopp took LFC to the Europa Final 2 seasons ago.

Agreed that CFC will be favourites if Conte stays,
with Citeh, ManU, Spuds & LFC fighting for the minor places.
I do not believe we will challenge top4 if AW does not change on and off the pitch,
and I suspect we may find Everton making a top4 challenge from outside UEFA as seen from LFC, LCFC & CFC in recent seasons.

Salah is an excellent signing and for 37m initial fee he is decent value for money. Klopp really likes his pacey attackers they allows him to play his game, press high and counter.

I think they will do well this season, especially in Europe.

Firmino with Coutinho Salah and Mane behind.

Back ups will be Sturridge, Wijnaldum Origi and Solanke.

If we can squeeze one more good player in there I'll be overjoyed. I think we're in for some proper silky swift play next year.

That is an average front four. Will struggle in the CL.

Liverpool have some decent players there. I'd take any of them to slot in with Ozil and Sanchez. However all together they really need a goal scorer with them. Its not a scary front 4 at all without that. And Liverpools midfield and defence are shit. I can't believe Wenger let such a bang average team finish ahead of us this season.

I agree with qs! that the rest of the team and GK, in particular, are distinctly average.
That strike force is better than average & good enough to get them past the CL group stage.
I, however, hope they fail miserably but think they will get to the round of 16.
e: Unlike Leicester, it will not be a great surprise for them to get to the QF stage as their high intensity starts will, more often than not, blow away any average team they meet by the hour mark.

Liverpool actively pursuing Keita but RB Leizipig is adamant they will take nothing less than 80m euros.

Good player, but not worth that much.

Chelsea will sign Bakayoko and sell Matic to United.

I can't belive Chelsea are selling Matic. We should have gotten in on that.

They want a more mobile midfield by the looks of it. I would've taken him, but I'm sure he and Mourinho are quite close. We should go for the Everton boy, Gueye, ahead of our midfielders who never play anyway (e.g, Elneny, Coq)
