he isnt leaving Real.. sorry, dont see it

Reckon it's just him pouting again.

Higuain posted a farewell video for Dani Alves. Wonder where is he going?

City is the club most people are expecting it to be.

Any English club will be bad news for us, guy is a winner.

Meanwhile, Monaco has signed a new RB Gaspar as they prepare to let Sidibe leave. They have already signed 2 CMs as well as Bakayoko is likely to go to Chelsea and Fabinho will leave too

Apparently Verratti has made a public announcement that he won't be returning to Paris, destination most likely Barcelona.

If Valverde doesn't shit the bed that's Barcelona dominating Europe for a while again. Best midfielder in Europe

Yep. Supreme player. If he can just stop being injured he's going to end up as one of the all-time greats.

he's a perfect fit for them unfortunately. the cnuts

I'm thinking Busquets will play with Verratti and one of Iniesta and Rakitic, depending on how Iniesta handles getting old.

Probably to replace Biscuits.

busquets isn't exactly over the hill. he'll probably rediscover his form next to a player like veratti

He's far from his best now, and Veratti pretty much plays in his position.

If Veratti departs so to will any hope of AW signing Rabiot.

Will be a shame if Veratti ends up at Barcelona. He's a fantastic player, and I'll have a muted appreciation of him if he plays for Barca.

I'd love it to happen. There has to be a counter balance to real otherwise it's boring.
Hope he's a hit at barca.

I don't rate Matuidi, but no way was Mikel better.

He wasn't better but he was more skillful.

Matuidi is ok but he wont change anything for United and he's no better than what they have. Let them waste £60m on him.

Matuidi is a rich man's sissoko. Like him ok, actually, but as y'all say, be a great waste of 60 mill for yanited.

That link is so houseboaty

Chelsea and United in talks with Lewandowski. Allegedly.

Because they supposedly didn't help him win the golden boot? What a prima donna.

Does he think he'll win it at United?

Lol his agent has done it again. Every 2 or 3 years try to create news.

He has just signed a new contract to 2021. No chance of this happening IMO.

Matuidi would be a good buy for United. He'd give them the steel they currently completely lack. They can put Pogba in front of him or a bit wide in a 4 1 4 1. I don't pay much attention to what United pay for players. They always have 100m pounds more than any other English club each summer, so they can afford to be as lavish as rappers

Other than running around a lot I don't really see what steel Matuidi provides?

Just in case anyone actually believe Chelsea or United were going to sign Robert Lewandowski.

The rumour started with that tit Guilem Balague - he has got to be the worst "journalist" out there.  Genuinely.

I don't get the deal with Pickford. The bloke got bombarded by shots every weekend and had to make a couple prolific saves. How is that a sign of anything else than playing behind a subpar defence? Sunderland still conceded the second most goals in the league.

Just saw this article and thought of your comment.

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11096/10921062/is-new-everton-goalkeeper-jordan-pickford-worth-30m-we-check-the-stats

Basically, they take away the factor of getting bombarded by shots because he has a shit defence or that you get loads of clean sheet because of a good defence. Pretty interesting model, never seen it before.

He is just about behind Courtois in terms of shot stopping performance on a whole this season. De Gea stats is pretty much different class in this category.

Distribution wise, as expected he is the best in the league for long passes.

Shame they didn't have a metric for command of box, will be pretty interesting.

Cheers Clrnc, that article is really interesting. Pickford does seem better than I've given him credit for.

That's not what I'm getting from that graph.

Just shows that he kicks it long most of the time, while managing an average pass accuracy.

Tend to agree with est.

I would like to assume the passes are actually reaching a teammate. Else it's a pointless stat

The article mentioned that he is the best in long passes. The graph shows the average, which means in terms of the entire league keeper's distribution (both short and long) Pickford is only 3rd, because Lloris and Bravo plays a lot of short passes that boost their distribution up while Sunderland don't.

Cech is the 4th best keeper in the league in terms of shot stopping, but amongst the midfield in terms of distribution.

This is the criteria of the distribution graph, which is fair enough.

For distribution, Jackson looks at whether the 'keeper was under pressure to pass, distribution type, speed in playing the ball, number of opponents bypassed and uses a five-point accuracy rating.

I don't get it, doesn't the graph rank him among the lowest in terms of accuracy?

The other graph suggests that Chelsea and United in particular give away a lot of easy chances, I.e. have a more leaky defence. Doesn't really compute.

What's the likelihood LFC get Aubameyang as well?
