I can't understand how someone can just dislike all hip-hop, so I'd be interested to hear an elaboration too.

@[deleted] Ever listened to Mastodon? They were one of the few metal bands I was into, quite Iron Maiden-y I think.

Ok, not all hip hop.

I like NWA, Dr Dre, Biggie Smalls and Jay-Z. I also really wanted to get that Missy Elliott album that came out around the end of the 90's, but I never got around to it.

And that's about it.

I'd also like to clarify that it's not just a hip hop thing, anything I don't like, musically, I find annoying. Like Coldplay, anything U2 did after Pop, Stereophonics, Hard-Fi, post Holy Bible Manics, Travis and the majority of Oasis output since 1995.

Speaking of which, did you hear the new Suede single? Extreme mediocrity, sadly.

I heard their come back one, if that's what you're referring to and, yes, I concur with you. Which is a shame as when I saw them at the 02 a couple of years back, they were rather fucking excellent.

Of course, that was all old songs though.

Suede's album 'Suede' is absolutely brilliant. They pretty much turned to shit when Butler left though IMO. I was very excited when I heard Anderson and Butler were to work together again, but I must say it turned out to be extremely disappointing.

Thanks Don, I'll check them out.

Those hip hop tracks are basically just 90s party hits (well the CREAM one's a soul version of Wu Tang), plus that Jemini / Danger Mouse track has a wicked hook which I think is from a 60s pop song.

Not rocket science, just hard stuff to hate.

Why is Noel Gallagher so arrogant?

Not a fan of Coldplay either. Never got why Yellow was such a good track. Dull tune.

Really good last album, better than ASAP Rocky for me.

Prefer the A$AP Rocky album personally. Best hip hop album of the year for me was Killer Mikes though.
