Let's give a big warm welcome to Cohen Brammall
Welcome to the Arsenal.
The new Ashley Cole, eh? Good stuff.
Who is Cohen Bramall?
Bramall, 20, is a left-sided player who can play in midfield or at full-back.
He is quick, skilful, has good acceleration and can cross. He also has an eye for goal, too.
Bramall didn’t consider football as a priority as a kid and instead was more into running. However, he kept his eye in playing for Kidsgrove Athletic, Alsager Town and Nantwich Town and Market Drayton.
Cohen then moved to play for Newcastle Town - not that he set the world alight. A former reporter on the club, Alex Lowe, tweeted: “A few years ago I was at Newcastle Town reporting on Cohen Bramall and just 2 years later he's off to Arsenal, didn't see that one coming!” He added: “Can’t say he stood out amongst the rest.”

"It is anticipated that the left-back will initially go into Arsenal’s U23 squad and the move would certainly make sense given that there is a dearth of available youngsters at the club in that position."

Can't help but feel that any top Premier League full back would play further up the pitch in the non-leagues, even the likes of Gibbs. So while he might be a great athlete, I don't have much hope for his ability on the ball.
There's a short video on sky; footwork looks okay actually.
He also looks to be the largest fella on the pitch.
Looks very one footed. He's not a beast physically but he's lean
This is a really nice story. Best of luck to the kid.
Holy shit he can motor. Look at that pace 3 mins 23 in.
More testosterone than Gibbs.
Love him already
Bellerin and Bramall will be a rapid pair of fullbacks. He might even be a decent winger.

Suitably lean? Solid hairline?
not enough in the vids to say anything for certain. Yeah, it could be. But all you can tell for now is that there's a serious athlete there, and he can also do the basic things reasonably well. Can he defend at all? Will he be able to develop further, as he will surely need to fit the top level? who knows.
He's 20. Sure, the circumstances are "different" But if he was to be the next Cole... I'd have to see more.
The positive for me was that it seemed like where he could gain most is stuff serious coaching helps. Hope he makes it. I don't have a clue if he will.
Nice to see that Wenger has described him as the new Ashley Cole, after Gibbs, Clichy and Traore.
calling him the new armand traore - while funny - just wouldn't have the same zing
This is purely an investment play. He prob shouldn't be in the 7th division, so we'll be able to make a nice profit from his sale.
A 20yr old in the 7th division isn't going to be playing in the senior side. Unless Wenger is really taking the piss and bringing back the banter era in full force (did we ever leave it?)
Welcome Cohen, let's hope your oversupply of last names corresponds to a surfeit of first places.
That's what I'm hoping for too Burnsey!
Let's hope his middle names are all last names too :egg:

Yea, He'll have so much to learn before playing at this level. A jenks style gamble. He could be a good longer term addition.

my only issue with this theory is that the lad is already 20 years old. What was he doing at a 7th division club at 20 years old? OK, he's a "project buy", but usually we get those projects at 15 or 16 or 17 years old. For me, if you are being brought in at 20, you should be at least somewhere close to being able to compete for a first team slot.
