One's a slimey prick. The other won us a trophy.

It's absolutely Fabregas' fault that we didn't win one too. I feel sorry for the rest of our great squad who had to play with garbage like him.

It was Fabregas' fault that Sneezey and Kos fucked up a simple clearance? That's some revisionism.

I think Quincy was being facetious. In any case, the point is Fuck Cesc. And he was my favourite player in those days.

Cesc is dead to me. Dont have time for snakes who engineer moves, let his boyfriends dress him up in other team colors, fuck off to the Spanish GP while the team you're captaining is playing. He can fuck off to Serie A. That slow fuck would do quite well in that dead league, i reckon.

Hear, hear!

Sarcasm, Rex. We had an absolutely terrible squad surrounding him and yet he's the one people love to blame for our lack of trohpies.

Absolute gutter league. I hear the MLS is more competitive these days.

Only in wages. The level of play is absolutely atrocious in MLS.

My bad. Read that a bit too quickly.

Express is linking us to Draxler. Wouldn't mind him in January, very inconsistent but on his day a world beater.

Hope we do make a big signing in January, think it could give the squad a nice little boost. Saying that with Ox and Iwobi impressing would Wenger buy him?

its highly unlikely. wenger is big on harmony, and the squad seems to be gelling nicely as is

Hmmm

Pretty sick front line that

I rather throw my money at James.

If we are to go for potential, Brandt, Meyer, Corona, Mbappe, Gelson Martins, Guedes, Lemar all interests me more than Draxler.

Anyway for what it's worth, we need to seriously go for Andre Silva if we want a proper striker for the future.

I've zero interest in Draxler. Would rather keep pushing Iwobi and Ox and hope for a real top level break through from one of them. Seems as likely as Draxler doing it IMO.

True but we need to be proactive as well, imo we don't put our own players under enough pressure. Theo has kicked on as he knew his career was finished otherwise. Iwobi was hungry for a place and has done well, Ox has seen that and pushed on himself in recent weeks. In the past there has been such a small squad competition has been little so players are in cruise control as they know they'll get picked.

Then we also need to take into consideration the contract situations of Alexis, Ozil & Ox. Doesn't sound like we are close to getting any of those done and they'll have to be sold in the summer or they will walk for free.

Not saying we should 100% be in for Draxler but the above factors need to be considered. He has fallen out badly with the club and might be available for a lot less than he'd usually go for.

Wenger is very rarely pro-active. I don't think we will sign anyone in January but if we do my moneys on a full back.

Draxler is good mates with mesut as well, important to get him more friends in the club to convince him to extend.

For me probably one of the biggest reason the last 10 or so years have been so unsuccessful for us. Time and time again we've seen key positions neglected for years before he acts on them.

Agree about a full back, depending on how Gibbs does a LB might be our next priority.

I see us getting draxler if we can't get Ox signed as Wenger seems back on giving him a chance, if he isn't sorted by the summers it a transfer though.

We ain't getting Draxler unless he has a disappointing season.
Otherwise, we've seen this movie several times.
Here is the script:
1:Arsenal linked to said player with potential.
2:Said player has a blinding season.
3:Arsenal give up as another team has an interest and we do not partake in bidding wars.
4:Said player joins rival club.
5:We buy a "tier 3" level player that nobody else really wants.

Draxler has been dropped from matchday squad in Wolfsburg, Tone.

Regardless I don't think that old script has been relevant for a good 3-4 years.

@Marv
So we are still on number 1 on this script.
Personally, i would prefer Reus/Griesmann to Draxler but i realise they are, both, too expensive.
They would require superstar wages which we are, already, unwilling to give Alexis/Ozil.

i hope you are right but i could argue that
Number 2 applies to Ozil and Sanchez.
Number 5 applies to Elneny, Xhaka, Perez.

Who was the choice over Xhaka? I think he was exactly the player Wenger wanted in midfield.

Gündogan probably if Wenger could have had a free pick, but he was never coming to us. I agree, Xhaka is a good player and a good signing. We should have signed someone like him two years ago though. His adaptation period means that he's not quite at the level we need him to be right now. That's not Xhaka's fault obviously. It's Wenger's, who has been fiddling his thumbs for years when it comes to the midfield.

Xhaka has the potential, no doubt, but he is at a level below what would interest "tier 1" (Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern), "tier 2" (Atletico, Juve) and "more money than sense" (manu, man city, chelsea) clubs.
Not a bad buy as compensation for losing Mkhitaryan.

And much better than 5 years ago when ended up with Gervinho after being linked to Hazard and Vertonghen.

#Arsenal is in talks too with Draxler! Ozil tries to convince him to join #AFC! Arsenal should send an offer!

this guy was right about mahrez last summer. mahrez recently confirmed that we can made an offer but leicester wouldn't budge, and this chap was banging that drum louder than anyone

5 days later

Meh.

We could sign Messi and fucking Ronaldo and still flatter to deceive.

Now if you said Simeone would jump at the chance to manage us, I would be jumping with joy.

I know. Payet would be more of the same in my opinion. Not one who fancies pressing either

Payet is exactly the kind of player to improve us immediately in the short term, and would probably give us a title boost.

Would be great to have that threat from free kicks

-----------Alexis
--Payet---Ozil---Walcott

Not bad

Same night, same fight, but one of us cats ain't playing right.

I'll let you tell it.

Payet has created the most chances this season in the PL. That was Ozil last year.

Draxler is a no. To PSG for 34 million

I'd love to get Payet. He is brilliant. He always has a bit of magic in him and I think he'd link up really well with Ozil.

I'd take Payet too. People shouldn't be so afraid of short-term signings. The 18-24 good months we'd be almost certain to get out of him are more than we'll get from the majority of the projects we've given years' worth of wages and playing time to.

Yeah, Payet is a no-brainer.
