you keep saying this but he's never really done that in his career, and when he has its hasnt been productive at all. he's always relied on people picking out his movements between the lines and beyond, not hovering pointlessly around the centre circle

shit game. we do seem to need more nimbleness and technical ability in the middle of the park in order to get things clicking. so far only santi offers that. neither xhaka or elneny are really beating the door down

Theo was shocking too. Sometimes you can't tell if he's a footballer or just a sprinter. Damian was on a yellow and he couldn't find a single opportunity to pressure him into a second yellow. His control was all over the place. Can't wait to get a proper tactical manager who will either knock these useless players into shape or get rid of them.

Need a win vs PSG next Wednesday. Difficult to see how we'll do it, more likely to be a draw

Get three points vs both them and Bournemouth and it'll be a great November, it'd also mean we haven't lost in something like 20 matches

We came up against a midfield of Herrera and a 35year old Carrick and still managed to lose control of the midfield.

A draw and no major injury problems that we can see. Better than expected TBH.

Just got back, read the thread and the witch hunt against Jenkinson is shocking. He was solid defensively today, never got beaten 1v1. One of our better players on the day. Didn't think Monreal was that poor too, Valencia is a tough customer and he handled him well today for the majority of the time without any protection whatsoever.

What was starting Ramsey on the left for? We missed Iwobi big time and Ramsey put in a performance that is almost worse than his last outing at OT. It's so poor he manage to create attacks for United everytime he touched the ball. Defensively if he was supposed to protect Monreal, he certainly didn't. Got run past far too easily and just gave up after. Wasn't that much better either when he was moved centrally. He really need to go back to the bench till he is ready to play.

Elneny and Ozil was big disappointments for me today too. Elneny looked too a bit overawed by the occasion even though he showed some nice touches. Ozil was anonymous and terribly ineffective. Couldn't pass, couldn't dribble well. Coquelin was good though, put in many key challenges at difficult moments.

This was as poor a performance at OT I can imagine. It's not a surprise since we have never scored against a Mourinho team since 2007. He just know how to shut Wenger's teams up and we got no answer or makes no changes to counter that. But hey, we nicked a point! I would have taken it before the game, delighted to take it under such undeserved circumstances. We are still only 2 points off the top after 2 tough matches (we should really have won the Spurs one), it's not the end of the world and it's november. Bring on PSG.

Agree on all points Clarence. Ramsey is one of Wenger's favourites so he gets crammed in the team at all costs.

I think it's a bit disingenuous to say Jenko did not get beat one on one. He even gave away one foul at the edge of the box after Rashford ghosted past him. How often do you see our right back get taken off even if we are chasing the game ? If Bellerin was playing he would not have been subbed and that's the gulf in level between both players.

Rewatched the game, United dominated possession in the second half and bossed us physically but didn't create a lot. We just couldn't get a grip in midfield and didn't move or pass well enough to evade their aggressive physical pressing. A friend said it was daylight robbery but disagree, they barely created much themselves.

Underwhelming performance across the board bar our two CBs and subs.

Don't see the need to pick on any one player, and especially not one that is our second (possibly third) choice RB who did fine. If you wanted more from that flank then look to Theo and Ozil who created fuck all there.

Not sure why Ozil keeps getting passes on performances like today. He did nothing with the ball when he got it, and he had enough touches to expect something. To some extent its his inability to create from deeper that leads to Sanchez having to drop so deep.

Midfield was pathetic (outmatched by theirs) but I can't believe we couldn't do anything against a back four with Darmian, Jones and Rojo in it. Final thought, I don't see El Neny being an important player for us in any game where we expect/plan to cede possession. He was lost all game and besides a couple one twos did nothing but confuse our own midfield.
