I want to see that midfield that ended the game start next week too. We completely lack forward movement from midfield without Cazorla and I think Ramsey and Xhaka deserve a chance to try and gel until Cazorla is back. All other combinations have failed because they are too deep.

I think minds were made up on Jenkinson before the start of the match. I can't remember him being out of position or getting beat 1 v 1, mind you he was up against 2 tricky players in Martial and Rashford. Yes he didn't offer anything going forward but neither did Monreal or even our top attacking players.

He tried to overlap a few times but our forward play was so poor he was never going to get into it. He's never going to be a world beater but he was ok today. We were afraid he'd be a liability but he was solid enough.

I'm more concerned about our first choice, main players, guys who are supposed to do things in the big games not playing well.

I thought Jenko was ok. Agreed that some of the bigger names let us down.

I don't know if Ramsey is fully fit or not, but he only seems interested in performing for his country these days.

I can't even remember the last half decent game he had.

He's a square peg in a round hole who doesn't fit anywhere in this system. Needs to be sold for a player who can actually contribute.

Going from Bellerin to Jenkinson is like going from Giroud to Sanogo.

Also yes an LB is probably a priority purchase next window.

Jenkinson, Ramsey and Elneny stood out as particularly poor. Ozil and Sanchez weren't being given the ball because there was no one in central midfield who could deal with Utd's pressing with quick feet and technique. This was the perfect game for Cazorla. Even Iwobi can deal with pressure and should have come on.

On the counter there was so much space to exploit against this dodgy make shift Utd defence.

Ozil is a midfielder, he should be dropping in and taking control if thats happening. He was just shit, no excuses. Theo was shit too. We can't have 4 forwards all crying about a lack of service. Sanchez wasn't brilliant but at least he was trying to get us going.

Monreal should be dropped again. WTF was that today? Shocking game. Gibbs made one big fuck up and got dropped, fair enough, but Monreal is making multiple fuck ups per game these days.

Why oh why does he always have to wait till 70mins to make subs? How often do we see the opposing team gaining momentum and eventually the lead before he gets his finger out? United were nothing special yet we completely surrendered the midfield and gave them all the space in the world. It's quite clear Wenger has an inferiority complex at Old Trafford and this is rubbing off the players.

We were bullied today. They were much more physical in the second half, closed us down very aggressively and we couldn't cope. Other than Sanchez, just no one was strong enough to withstand their physicality, too bad his passing was completely off.
