I love Forlán. He just had a really poor season though. I think age is getting to him. Moving to Premier League at that point in your career isn't the most brilliant idea you'll ever have. I hope he ends up in Italy instead. He could still have three or four really good years left in Milano or Turin.

Signing those two and keeping Cesc would give us the kind of strength we need to challenge next season. There's absolutely zero chance of it happening though. Gervinho is basically a done deal already.
I'd bite your hands off now if you said we could have Nasri, Cesc and just one of Mata or Hazard.
Oh Ricky, it's heartrending to see you like this.......

Well he had a failed stint with Utd before.
Different reasons though. He was too young back then. Now he's too old. Timing is everything in football. A 28-year-old Forlán would have raised hell in Premier League but the English clubs missed their chance when he left Villarreal. It's too late now.
Klausie, I actually think the guy can come in and do a veteran job: be our Larsson. He's such a fantastic player all-around, and also gives us another dead-ball option. I would welcome having him over the likes of Bendnter, Chamakh and Vela in the line-up. And when RvP goes on his annual break, you'll have confidence in Forlan as your lead striker

£12m + Bendtner for Subotic.

Unbelievable, but would be Bendtner's greatest contribution to this club.
So what can the learned ones tell me about Subotic? The real deal?
Definitely.
Subotic is money. He would be ahead of Cahill and Samba in my wishlist
I wish that united spunk 30plus mill on sneijder
Then you wish that United defend their crown, good sir.
I don't think he'd be much cop in the premiership. Nasri, modric or pastore would turn them into a better side. Wes not at all.
What's Subotic like? Quick, strong, brave, reads the game well, confident personality on the pitch, a leader, an organiser, good/great in the air?
Yes, I'm very uninformed. 🙂
He's like woodgate was
All of them Ricky.
Sounds a bit special then. Lets see what comes of it.
He has good feet, is a strong tackler, good in the air, reads the game well, decent pace. He plays with authority but he can have rough patches; I would consider him more like a younger Rio than Woodgate.
The leader of the Dortmund defence, however, is Hummels.
