Mata is class. He's a tough little nugget too. My only worry with him in the Premier League would be that, while very sharp, he doesn't have out-and-out pace.

Yeah but not every player is motivated by money alone, some want desperately just to play and win medals before they're injured out of the game.

he is quick enough. not blistering pace, but quicker than most defenders. especially over shorter distances.

brilliant all-round player who'd fit in perfectly here. that is unless all our best players abandon ship...

As I'm watching this Uruguay game, I once again have to bring up Forlan's name. I watched him twice in person last year and was astonished by his workrate and technical ability. He's the kind of guy who would give us a lot of pep in attack, and would be a really good option in the Fabregas position if the Catalan deserted us. Forlan is a joy to watch. His distribution is inch-perfect and he's always fighting to get the ball.
Yeah, I love the guy, the way Klausie loves Kagawa.

If I recall correctly, Klausie adores Forlan, too. He would be an awesome squad option, and at his age he might even go for that, too.
