Me too. It doesn't have to be Hazard of course, but I want a player with that profile. Someone with pace and a good shot who knows how to dribble. I would prefer Alexis Sanchez, but he seemed even less realistic. Read that Udinese rejected a £30 million bid for him the other day. Presumably it came from Inter.

He's not glamorous enough a signing for a wishlist but as a replacement for Squillaci what about Hangeland?

We've conceded the most goals from set pieces - Fulham have conceded the least.
That kind of experience in our defence would be welcome?

Donkey's have their uses though.
If his involvement in the squad improved our ability to defend from corners and crosses I'd consider him as an option.

Wasn't it 35m? We have fuck all chance with him, heck we haven't even been linked with him at all. Best we could have would be Hazard.

I would agree with your priorities of signings, but ideally we might need to sort out the defence or 2, tweak it abit.

What would be his impact on our open play defending though?

It's a fine balancing act.

For my money, Samba is better if that's the kind of guy we are looking for but I wouldn't want either.

All things considered, 43 against was an atrocious result for our defence as a team over the season. And ironically, the same number of goals that Fulham conceded.

We need to try to get that number down towards 30 next season by hook or by crook. Personnel is far from the only issue, in fact I think it's much less of an issue than training and motivation.

Would you leave our back four personnel as they currently are then Captain and just hope they focus and learn how to deal with situations that have been our undoing?

If it were in my hands, I'd sign Hummels and Subotic and play Vermaelen at left back.

More realistically, we need to sign at least one reliable central defender of high quality; better than anyone that we have. I'm personally as concerned about Vermaelen as most people are about Djourou and Koscielny.
