The hilarious thing is that Milan doesn't have to buy him according to the agreement though. Now it does look like they'll keep him, but still. Making a deal with italians based on the assumption that they will pay you when they're not obliged to do so must be one of the most brilliant amateur mistakes I've ever seen.

i don't think Barca really cared about the details. They just wanted him out of there and they had the money to bring in another superstar.
