What does this constitute? I'm not trying to be contrary, just curious to what level of spending would excite you.
For me, I'm always excited about a new season, but then I'm a paradox of optimism and masochism, so I might be alone on this.
As for what would excite me requisition wise, a top level striker would be brilliant. One of those goal hungry, smart, nippy, agile, optimistic players. A new left back of quality with both a bit of bite and a bit of attacking flair would be great. And add in a competitor for Song as a solid, strong, tall, technically adequate, defensively savvy midfielder. I know plenty of Ligue 1 players who could do that job fairly well.
To me it isn't about names or numbers, but I get the fact that it is an element for many. It creates a bit of excitement and shows ambition which many feel we're lacking right now.
