Different players.
I've been thinking for a while now that our main problem when facing a packed defence is a lack of imagination and ability to beat a man. Nothing counteracts a packed defence better than a dribbler. A dribbler creates space by attracting defenders to him - they're basically line breakers. Teams can defend against a passing side all day with two defensive lines, its when a man is beaten that the line has to break and this opens spaces for others.
If you look at all our attacking options, none of them really fall into the category. Nasri at times but not enough, Arshavin used to do it and Walcott is more a wide forward than anything who is twice as effective with space to utilise and prefers to make runs off the ball.
It was one of the biggest weapons the Invincibles had. Henry could breeze past players like they weren't there and even his presence attracted covering players to him as they knew he could break in a flash.
We need an old school winger. Wouldn't mind Ashley Young at all.
