It's an interesting thought. I can sort of see him forming a meaningful partnership with Van Persie. They're both versatile, and Podolski's definitely a striker who wants to finish moves and knows how to make an aggressive run which would suit the type of layoff that Van Persie prefers. Podolski's also quite an angry player - I like that. They might be quite well suited to one another.
I've only really watched Podolski playing for Germany, especially WC 2006 and the 2008 Euros. I do wonder whether he'd do well in a side like ours that tends not to play on the counter so much. Have no idea whether he'd do well here but it's not a bad shout at all.
