wouldnt want zlatan here at all. kaka would be overpriced for what he would actually produce - he could be shevchenko pt II for abramovich.
anyway, lets get real, this si wenger we're talking about.
Kaka just sounds like another expensive mistake for Chelsea to me.
It'd be excruciating watching Kaka and Torres failing one behind the other if you were a Chelsea fan.
I'd like Ozil 😛
Oezil has probably been amongst Madrid's best players this season alongside Cristiano and Pepe. He's going nowhere.
The players to keep an eye on in the transfer window are Benzema, Lass, Gago, Kaka, Drenthe and maybe even Higuain.
From Italy, Napoli to be specific - Lavezzi - could come in and play along the frontline. He'd probably favor drifting out right, but could play the other positions as well. Cavani - top target man. both are mid 20s and have been amongst the best players in Italy this season.
So will this be the first summer in ages when we see a marked net improvement in the playing personnel once all the trading has died down?
I wouldn't bet on it.
i'm beginning to worry a little about Citeh. they're on the cusp of becoming a challenger. Liverpool are probably still a year or two away, and Spurs will find their level next to Everton. but i really can't bear the idea of falling behind all of Citeh, United and Chelsea.
Some good news is that the list of players available on a bosman this summer doesnt look that appealing - one would hope wenger stears clear
Leftfield option for a striker - what about Felipe Caicedo? I was watching him for Levante this evening against Barca, and pretty impressed with him, ploughing a lonely furrow up front, no support, he still looked pretty quick, skillful, and held the ball up well.
The former City player?
He still is a city player, he's on loan I think.
Haven't really watched Levante much at all this year, but I was just quite impressed with him tonight - they're a terrible team from the little I've seen, but he's scored 13 goals in not many starts, and he looks quite bright, actually.
Dunno, just a thought really.
Always looked a bit of a donkey at City, but he was only young so maybe he's improved.
Read that Baines has 9 assists this season. Time for Clichy to pack his bags.
Mostly from set-pieces.
Considering he takes every freekick and corner (as in from both sides), in a team that has is heavily weighted towards scoring from set-pieces, I think 9 assists is actually a disappointing figure.
We could always do with another set-piece taker, one that allows us to actually have our only striker in the danger area when a corner or free kick is being taken.
In= Cahill, Parker, Young and a new Left back.
Out= Almunia, Denilson, Clichy, Rosicky, Arshavin and Bendtner.
And I'd definitely be looking to play 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 type systems at times next season with Theo up front.
don't you want Theo and Young on opposite sides of your 4 4 2?
