Cavani is a terrific footballer. He's like a talented version of Andy Carroll 😉

Thats his third hattrick in about 3 months. I'd give my left nut to bring him here.

Only thing I know of him is the World Cup, where he looked nothing special, but that's an impressive goal tally.

IIRC he played more as a wide forward for Uruguay in the WC, seeing as they had Forlan playing through the middle. Didn't shine i guess but he's at his best as the focal point of an attack (not sure if he even started for Uruguay in all of their games)

Yeah, he played wide right/left, Armor, but playing wide or not, he didn't look to have anything outstanding about him - no explosive speed, not massively strong (as your Carroll comparison would suggest), not particularly outstanding technically - just looked a decent all round player. Like I said, though, I haven't seen anything of him other than that.

He is strong tricky. Wirey.

Talking of good world cups, I'd still like Honda here

Similar in style to falcao

Haven't seen much of him but isn't he more of a tricky flair player type?

@ricky, all round player would be about right, although i do think physically he is very powerful and pacy. His movement is excellent and added to a good touch and finish - he is a real handfull.

Anyways you boys have pretty much nailed what i'd like to see happen in the summer:

attacking right back
top class midfielder
winger
striker

Dula's list would be a dream.

I wish for Wenger to swim back to France with Almunia under one arm and Denilson under the other.

Denilson is so lightweight he'd probably act as some kind of buoyancy aid.

Eboue set to cross North London divide to Spurs
Emmanuel Eboue may follow William Gallas from Arsenal to arch-rivals Spurs. Ivory Coast international Eboue, 27, is highly-rated by Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, and the Spurs boss is considering a shock swoop as he plots to bring in a new right-back this summer.

Eboue has endured an uneasy relationship with Arsenal fans since arriving from Belgium club Beveren in 2005, but Redknapp likes him and wants more competition for the right-back role.

Obviously bullshit, but what i wouldn't give for it to be true.

screw this formation. it's embarrassing that we mimic barcelona. it's no coincidence we switched to it after they made us look like dog turd. and whatever, i know they've moved messi inside, blahblahblahidontcare. if we had anyone remotely as good as him, we'd probably do that, too.

we're an english team, lets go back to the way we used to play. it was prettier to watch and we scored more goals.

we are more direct than barca, it's not about formation for me at all. it's really about the type of players. we need players who compliment each other and who make each other better players. by that i don't mean a classic big and small striker combo, but players who are on the same wavelength. like nasri, wilshere, rvp and cesc. smart players who'll keep the ball moving quickly.

i also think we need more coordinated movement. one of the things barca do well, and other teams too, is that they help each other out on the pitch. too often arsenal players are spread too thin. i think the idea is to stretch the other team, but you only need one or two players to do that. not spread the entire team throughout the pitch evenly. we play really well when we crowd the central areas of the pitch and keep the ball moving. when we get impatient and lazy, everything slows down and our passing game is shit.

i just dont like 433. it's like watching table football at times. but you're right, we'd be more fluid regardless of formation if we had better players, and that would lead to more trust between the players to make those runs knowing that someone would be covering behind them.

i'm just sick of the lack of quality. the whole arsenal plays attractive football thing is a myth now. how many genuinely awesome combinations have we seen this year? dortmund has been more attractive to watch this year, and thats a fact.

Would absolutely love to see him here. Last time I mentioned it though, US pointed out he's re-signed with Lyon until the twelfth of never (2015 I think).

Is Dorto-mania the new Barca-mania Kami?

But if he goes Rick what will we do for leadership in the dressing room?

I don't know, he's pretty good at dragging others down with him.

Our squad is too slow - eg. Denilson.
Our squad is too lightweight - eg. Denilson
Not direct enough - eg. Denilson
Not enough height - eg. Denilson
Lacks bottle - eg. Denilson.

This guy is the face of Wenger's project.

😆 I'm surprised he doesn't have Wengers face too as he's obviously a love child.
Well how else would you explain his presence in the team?????

Guys please don't mention the "D" word will ya. Can't escape it even in a wishlist thread! Honestly makes me wanna burn something

lol at all of this shitting on Denilson. Hes hardly fucking played. I dont rate the player but its uncalled for.

Rosicky is the one getting off scott free. Hes been worse than both Diaby and Denilson this season. His performances against Newcastle and CC final was an absolute disgrace.

I REALLY don't think he is!!!
