In the last 5 minutes I've become convinced we're going to sign Kaka, and I don't know why? I'm not even sure I'd be all for the idea. Strange.
santon is quality. really classy full back.

Kagawa? I don't think we will be picking up any of Borussia Dortmund's stars now, unless we give them mad money. Santon would be a good addition at fullback, and would give the benefit of being able to work both flanks.
kagawa is brilliant and this is the wishlist.

Not all that keen on Kaka, for the following reasons:
Everything else about him could be pretty good.

Can't find the article on Yahoo Sports, but we're being linked with a move for out-of-favour Florent Malouda. Who has turned down a move to Juventus to try and stay in the Premier League. Interested anyone?
Could he be a central midfield option in a 4-3-3 now he's 30 years old and slowing down a bit? Played there for France a few times.
And we've enquired about Eljero Elia. Good player, not sure if he's quite good enough for us, certainly no Eden Hazard, but a dangerous wide man nonetheless.
Elia is another speedster too, looks like Wenger realised how short we were on pace.
I'd take Malouda too, plenty of experience and he's still a clever player. Could be a good influence on Ryo, Chamberlain,etc
Had forgotten about Santon. If we sign him I too would forgive Wenger for replacing Clichy and Eboue with Gibbs and Jenkinson. I agree with Klaus fwiw that we need creativity more than anything b(r)ought into the team.

Klaus, I am amazed by how you know about some players. Son is definitely a great talent and would command a huge fee though. No chance of us getting him. Only his 2nd season with Hamburg
If Wenger's latest comments are anything to go by I'm not hopeful of seeing another signing apart from Cahill.
It's painful to believe that we could and should sign more and then hear this:

I think that's a safe bet.
I still think there's a fair bet we wont sign anybody else besides this Korean geezer. At the same time you never know with Wenger. He'll leave it till the last minute of the last hour and we might pull off a couple of good deals.
