Was an immense finish by Muriel to be fair, much worse was his flapping on the corner for Sampdoria's second. Again though, was one of Szczesny's better games, made a couple of terrific saves too.

This pretty much sums up Wojech..   a bit flappy at points, a moment of loss of concentration (or two), but still able to make a few tremendous saves..

was hoping his loan spells would up his consistency, but maybe he will never actually have it

He's still fairly young for a goalkeeper. But maybe. Some keepers never eradicate that erraticity, and some, like Casillas, get worse with time.

I thought he only came off the bench toward the end?

Played the first 70 minutes or so and was barely involved in anything Bournemouth did.

Ah ok. I must have read the match report wrong as I thought he was subbed on then, not off. I still don't think this was a good loan for Jack. Would have been better going to a mid table club or to another league.

Nitpicking, but Gnabry isn't on loan. Great goal though.

City will make top midfielders in the league look like shite tbf. I wouldn't put any stock in a poor performance by Jack at the etihad

Jack was poor regardless of how good City were but then it was only his 2nd 90 start in all football in 14-15 months. There is a reason Wenger agreed to the loan. Wilshere will take 10 odd starts more before he can really show his class.

Absolute rocket

What a goal, wow. See ya Serge.

I'm very happy Wilshere is at Bournemouth getting minutes. Early days, but it'll prove a few things one way or the other which is what we need when it comes to his Arsenal future.

Boom!
Very happy for him. Always liked Gnabry.
(shouldn't he be on "gone watch" though?)

How did Jack do? Bournemouth beat Everton so I imagine he had a chance to impress

He was decent, some very good moments but nothing special. He looked fitter and sharper though. Jack will be Jack, he was committed and flew into a few tackles too. What he needs to get better at is the utilization of space. He has never really had the time on the pitch to do that. He is too often stationery pointing fingers and doesn't occupy or run into right space.

Chambers not so good on his first league start for Middlesbrough.

He was beaten far too easily by Son for the first goal. In general looked shaky and dithered on the ball too much.

Boro should have conceded a third goal directly though his mistake but Alli skied it.

Would be shocked if Chambers gets another chance here.

^ Came to comment on the same. Just saw the compilation. Mostly short passes and 1-2's. Still happy to see him getting minutes.

Went through the Bournemouth forum after seeing they won 6-1 and the place seems extremely happy with Wilshere and his performances which is great. Looks to be settling in well into his role with some posters suggesting he has transformed this Bournemouth side. Will be catching a repeat of the game to see just how good Wilshere really was. This loan is working out. He just needs to stay on the pitch for 90 minutes moving forward and lay to rest any concerns relating to his fitness. Can't wait to have him back in an Arsenal shirt next season.

Please tell me Jack at least got one assist for one of those 6 goals.

Tbh, the way he left us ... i fear there's more going on behind the scenes than is currently evident. He has never even mentioned us once on social media for example and probably is losing his #10 to Özil next year. I have a feeling that something definitely happened on the deadline day.

He isn't losing his number. Christ, Cech can't even get the number 1 jersey despite Sneezey being on loan for two years! That's just not how things are done at Arsenal.

Maybe Özil demanding to get the number 10 jersey in order to sign a new contract is newspaper bs?

Maybe. I was not saying that possibly losing his number is what is the main cause for this supposed rift between him and the club anyway. Im just saying that his behaviour has been quite odd - he removed Arsenal from his social media bios and has basically not commented on us at all so far. Doesnt sound like someone who was happy to go on loan.

And by all accounts, he wanted to go on loan so that he gets playing time.

Because he's a Bournemouth player this season. :/

You think they pay him to advertise Arsenal on social media?

Joel scored a 96th minute last kick of the match equaliser.  8)

Closer to home,

I like how Jack's being eased in, responsable management from Bournemouth. Bodes well for the rest of the season.

I like Bournemouth. Sensible bunch

Will be interesting to see how Eddie Howe does in the next few seasons. Seems to be doing good work, but there have been a few other managers that have flattered to deceive after one or two good seasons.

He's had a few more than one or two good seasons to be fair! I think he's a brilliant manager, hope he gets a chance at a bigger job in the next year or two.

I meant at Premier League level, but yeah, he looks like a promising manager.

Closer to home,

I was against loaning Jack to Bournemouth but I can definitely see the sense in it. We're giving him a real chance to play once a week and get his career back on track. Howe is using him in a more attacking capacity too which I think will benefit him. You really don't want a player like Jack to lose his edge.

Asano had a good game yesterday. He has been played mainly on the wings this season, but he has adapted to his new positions well. Speed and close control pretty good.
